Remember trucks like the early-mid 90s F-Series or late 90s Tacomas that looked rugged and capable, without being horrendously over the top and garish?
I miss those trucks so much. Today’s truck and SUV styling is just atrocious.

6'2" is not a “normal” height - you are taller than 94.5% of the entire U.S. male population.
6.5" is in the 99.5 percentile of U.S. heights. Literally 0.5% of the population are that height or taller. I don’t see why GM is under any obligation to make a vehicle that caters to 0.5% of the population.
The turbo is probably junk, but the engine is likely okay. I suspect most of the rag fragments would have been caught by the intercooler.
I’m not really sure how it “sounds like no other engine” It sounds literally exactly like every other 5 cylinder vehicle I’ve ever heard. A Viper also basically sounds the same as well.
I can put a 2014 front end on a 2004 f150 too. Doesn’t mean it’s still the same truck.
Yeah but if you change out a person’s brain, skin, skeleton, muscles and other internal organs, but keep the same weight and height - are they the still the same person?
I really don’t get how you can call the Challenger or Charger “old”. A platform in the Chrysler world is just a set of hard points for the assembly line - nothing more.
ABC bridge building is not unsafe, and is done all the time. It’s actually safer and faster, since most of the work is done off the road instead of in traffic.
And the Commander’s interior is absolutely atrocious. The refreshed interior is downright embarrassingly bad.
I’m sorry but the Commander does not offer “similar levels of refinement or luxury”. The interior is a joke in comparison.
Wait, you’re telling me a car with more horsepower is faster than one with less?
While I’m glad he didn’t let Nissan bully him, I feel that he was also super foolish. He could have easily negotiated to sell the domain for several hundred thousand, or even a few million. He would have still stuck it to Nissan and made out.
My only problem with his video is that he doesn’t describe how gear ratios play into this.
For example with this theoretical 100HP diesel and gasoline engines: Since the gasoline engine revs twice as high, your gear ratio could theoretically be numerically twice as high as well. So your 100HP diesel engine could have…
The torque always adds up no matter what, because the engine’s rotating inertia “damps” and “averages” out the power pulses from the cylinders. On a single cylinder engine under load, the 75% of the time the engine isn’t firing, the crankshaft is being slowed down by the load - the force changes direction. When you…
You’re mixing up “average torque’ vs “instantaneous torque”. The torque numbers you see published for an engine, and what are used for calculating power are the averaged torque value. That is the torque averaged throughout an entire revolution of the engine. So yes, if you add another cylinder offset so the power…
Does anyone else hate these videos where they clip some crap microphone right near/on the exhaust pipe? It always overpowers the mic, and sounds someone just blowing into a cell phone.
XJ’s getting cut up is a just punishment for them. I’ve fixed and worked on enough of them to not really want to deal with them ever again.
I’d like to see a good in-cab video of it accelerating with the trailer on it. Maybe not floored, but at least half throttle. I suspect the Hellcat probably makes diesel-amounts of low-end torque.
Any IndieGoGo hardware project is 100% guaranteed to not end well. Kickstarter has far more stringent hardware project standards than IndieGoGo, and even then a lot of Kickstarter projects go nowhere.
