Why not let people make their own decisions?
The situation in Africa is quite hilarious (but totally awesome.) You have a bunch of countries rocking Toyota, some are rocking Benz, some are rocking BMW and Renault and then Niger is like that random guy at a sports event yelling “GO BUGATTI GO!!!”
“It’s okay to have a Rice Krispies Treat a few times a week. My kids eat ice cream every single day!”
It would be even better if the knockoff was American.
If the telemarketing jerks keep calling him from the same number or don’t switch numbers often, maybe you could get a call blocker which plugs into any standard phone line and block the spam numbers. They seem to go for about 40 bucks on Amazon.

The app store is a feature of Windows. It has absolutely nothing to do with the annoying ads you receive.
The fact that you have “animated ads” on your Start menu isn’t Microsoft’s fault, but the fault of the app creator. That’s like saying you hate New York because you saw Donald Trump on a billboard.
In that case, why do we use cars in general to go to our nearby grocery stores which are within biking distance? Why do we have Keurig machines when coffee makers do just the same thing? Why live in the city when the countryside is open and spacious?
That’s a totally reasonable excuse for not wanting to upgrade. I was just referring to tech-literate people who whine because they can’t be bothered to get with the times and try something new. I’m not specifically saying that “everybody needs to be with Windows 10 because etc. etc.”
That is a totally different story because you’re part of a workplace environment and not an everyday user. I understand that making a switch from older Windows versions to Windows 10 (or seven for that matter) is a daunting task in your case because you have to buy new site licenses, etc. to get it up and running. I…
I made the mistake of “upgrading” my laptop, and now it keeps downloading an AMD driver update that breaks my laptop’s brightness settings, forcing it to minimum.
That “certain crowd” being an annoying bunch who can’t seem to move on past the archaic start menu and at least TRY something new.
I believe RDP stands for Remote Desktop, which from what I understand is pretty much a proprietary version of VNC made by Microsoft.
You should also check out NeverWare’s CloudReady operating system, which is apparently built in collaboration with Google. Hexxeh never seemed to work properly, so that may be worth a try.
I know that this post is historic and nobody will see my comment, but another thing which an old laptop is great for is a CCTV server using WebcamXP or the dozens of other softwares which allow you to do so.
China’s also a Communist country, and they’re our #1 trading partner.
I don’t understand why you’re so upset about me using Wikipedia to state a mere fact. Do you really think that Kim Jong Un pioneered the wood fuel engine? Is there something wrong with using the internet as a medium of research?
