I think what’s worth considering is that those movies could not be upfront about what they wanted to say - given USSR’s censors. However, I think that plays beautifully with this director, who in this and Stalker, gives you films that are slowly unfolding but never actually clear what you’re seeing. That’s hard to

I have played through all the Dark souls games on PC, though I bought a PS3 specifically to get Demons Souls, Last of us, and a few other things. Maybe it’s just that there’s no server to get help when I get stuck.... but Demons souls feels like the hardest of the souls games. I’ve had to take periodic breaks when I

I just started this... and realized that I have a whole chunk of grading to do first..... want to work through it so badly though...

Anybody have suggestions about age range for kids?  My kids just chewed through last airbender.  Common sense media says 8+, but lots of people on the site say 13+

Before kids (or before pandemic take your pic) I woulda watched the hell out of this. Now... I can’t do it. I started reading a short story about a family in Australia about to get hit by a comet. They couldn’t get out in time, but they had the option to have the government send their kids to America, to try and

As someone who was a big fan of Farenheit/Brave New World/1984 (etc) books, and of Christian Bale, I found to Equilibrium to pretty terrible, and giggled my way through the last 30 minutes.

S3 was nuts and really should be watched in full.  But I watched on Hulu and just sped through recaps and opening song

I enjoyed the 2nd season, but the 3rd was so freaking nuts.  I had no idea that show had the capability to push it’s characters and concepts as far as they could.  Will be waiting for it to be added to Hulu

I am someone who has watched a lot of anime, but enjoyed it less as I have gotten older. I never really understood the goofy humor and fan service, and like them to stay pretty straight-laced.  Lately, I’ve rewatched Cowboy Bebop (or cousre), and I’ve been blown away by the 3rd season of “Attack on Titan” which was

To make more money, some extra parts of the game are produced - it could be extra missions, extra multiple player maps for playing online, or playing through different events with a different character... usually for about $10 - $20 each. The season pass gets all of those at one time for a cheaper price. (Note: that

Have you seen some of the shit answers that come back with google? Even in my scientific area that has relatively low political influence, a lot of people post bad answers.

You lost me at ‘Frank Miller’

That looks pretty derivative These models look like standard fantasy stand-ins.. For something inspired by Giger (and space) I would want something crazier. I feel like Dead space had good ideas for creature designs, but I would want even crazier.

IN NIght and Dawn, those characters were at least likable....you wanted them (or at least some of them) to survive. But it quickly became clear that Romero doesn’t like people (he has said as much in interviews) and after Dawn his characters become characitures prepared for zombie fodder.  It’s a shame.

You should.... it’s not nearly that scary, although there are some intense moments.  It (and especially DS2) are more like aliens- yes it’s scary at moments, but most of the time you’re just blasting things as quick as you possibly can.

Why do movie ‘scientists’ always insist on touching rare alien life forms?

Well, that’s timing. I just bought XCOM 2 recently, after finishing the main quest, I did all the DLC on ironman mode. Took me 3 tries to avoid getting wiped out, and then the g ame somehow saved over my progress sending me back months (of game time). Even though I’ve been swamped transitioning to online teaching,

He also hits a bit hard on the “this new technology will destroy all of us!!!” for me. Like we barely get past what would make this technology important before “it might end human civilization as we know it!” Like he is the epitome of that caveman sci fi comic?

I loved subnatica, but I can’t imagine looking at that screen for long periods

When B5 came out I watched the first season and lost interest. Later on I watched a bunch of later seasons in syndication. There was another website talking about high ceiling/low floor shows, and I would B5 in that bracket. When it had a plan, it was oven very interesting and good.  However there were a lot of
