I said in the grays that the whole thing just looks slow. If I’m going to play a game like this, I want the action swift and responsive.

Is it just me, or does the gameplay appear sluggish? Like I can almost physically feel me pressing on the gamepad as hard as I can trying to push the character to move just a little faster. I care less about graphics (especially graphics of cutscenes) than having extremely fun gameplay.
The first one was fine, but never great. DMC3 was the first one that really blew me away, and kept me coming back despite the difficulty
My issue with JRPG’s is that ‘the grind’ really bothers me now that I have kids. I usually only have 15-20minutes to play games. I don’t want to spend 40min getting to the hard/exciting part. I don’t want to get stuck at a boss and replay 40 minutes over again, just to get to the exciting part. Some JRPG’s (FFXII come…
One big difference is the anytime availability. I realize you can DVR things, but I never got that organized. I guess my parents cablebox does a lot of that , but sometime only 4 episodes at a time. That makes it difficult to find something last minute (Meh, don’t like this series, let’s start Schitt’s Creek) or my…
....Telling me I got to beware
I loved the ‘close combat’ games from the 2000's (although badly aged now), would work great with zombies. They were highly focused on fog of war so you had to guess troop positions, get elevation and lines of sight to create killzones with machine guns and snipers (also hiding rpg teams, which would probably no…
what I always wanted out of these games was the ability to really build/rebuild a base before a horde attack - shudder windows, block doors, create funnelled killzones etc. I mean, there were a few stages where you could prep traps (I’m thinking of the plantation and the concert in L4D2, the farmhouse in L4D1 and the…
I loved the parkour elements of Dying Light, but the actual fighting kindof sucked. Just hit this guy 40 times until he dies got old super fast. I still played all the way through the original game, but the DLC with a bunch of superbosses just wasn’t my thing. And trying to buy a battle royale focusing on the weakest…
I have a lot of problems with this movie - the pacing, the fights are pretty meh, and I don’t really enjoy watching any of the characters.
Congratulations. Now you know what it feels like to be a parent.
I would also push:
I can see one way of generating this is to have functioning, non aggressive robots circulating with aggressive robots. You see something moving... do you go closer? Is it friend or foe? Can you use the machines still functioning as a distraction or a way to hide movement and sneak by? Now the boom box could also be a w…
It’s worth noting that alot of Europe and Canada (and in the past USA) has depended on importing nurses and doctors from other countries with less money (South America/Africa/Asia). It’s one of the reasons why letting fewer people immigrate is a really really bad idea. It’s really the only way we’ll make the…
I’m working through Demonssouls right now.... but I’ve had way more trouble with that one than with Dark Souls 1 or 2. Right now I’m stuck at the maneater and Old King Allant, and I’m having trouble getting through the shrine of storms ( think that’s the name) due to all those manta ray things and the ghosts who shoot…
How many hours of training do you think it took him to do this?
To be fair, if we suddenly open up our medical system with no other changes, there will be massive shortages because we have created a system with massive shortages (but not to those with money). To really give americans quality healthcare, we are going to need to employ a lot more healthcare professionals... we’re…
I really enjoyed Marvel Puzzle Quest when it first came out for the opposite reason. Every day there were a bunch of extremely hard quests, you’re characters needed to be almost maxed out, your play had to be near perfect (timing your superpowers for the exact moment to pause an attack or create a new line of attack)…
Here’s my fear - Police and military at this point both have a preety conservative lean, especially among rank and file, less so among brass. Look at the mobilization and comments spoken at BLM events, and you see police imagine themselves as being ‘at war’. They are itching to take on protestors, and you see that…
