I have a similar theory that anyone who starts of a relationship by saying "I never want to hurt you!" is secretly an axe-murderer. Not hurting people is the DEFAULT! But they tend to mean that they're all tortured and deep and just can't help hurting people and I'm like, eh. No. Deal with yourself.

I broke my ankle :(

Broke three bones, had two plates and several screws put in. The hospital and the staff were wonderful (I love my NHS). But I'm back at uni now, with no uncle to cook me dinner and no mum to be sympathetic and bring me chocolate, and I would like some sympathy please! I might be non-weight-bearing

I don't get it. I genuinely don't. It's like some people actually refuse to believe that sex DOES feel good, to some of us. Maybe they have Theory of Mind problems? (Not sarcastic - worked with too many autistic kids to say that as a joke.) Maybe they genuinely can't conceptualise that other people experience things

ARGH

In my own bubble of total intolerance, I find it incredibly hard to be tolerant of people who are anti-vaccine. But I've found a way to manage it! I smile, nod, and hope their children don't die of awful diseases or cause other people's children to!

Also, correlation question: is "autism causes vaccines" an acceptable

Not Christmas, but my aunt honest to God gave me a rape alarm last year. She then insinuated that I'd need it more than she would. I have no idea if she was just insulting the area I lived in, or trying to backhandedly compliment me with the idea that I was particularly rapeable. I'd rather not find out. Argh.

Fol rol de ol rol.

Bite me.

Dude muttered something about you not saying excuse me and... he's a douche? Look, maybe he was having a shitty day. Maybe it had nothing to do with you. You're coming across as a bit of a dick here.

That was my first thought. How absolutely awful for her.

It's also possible that for whatever reason he thought the child's life would be horrendous in the new circumstances. I'm not excusing it, but some people behave in very strange ways when they're depressed. My mother always said she didn't understand people who killed themselves but didn't take their children with

You are not the only one who thought this. Though I confess nothing.

If it were me and one of my little brothers (when they're not 10 and 7, that is) I'd stay well out except for saying "hey! D says you've got a girlfriend. nice one. boring big sister says make sure you're using condoms, and don't feel any pressure to have sex before you're ready!" My family are very open about this

Nothing is wrong with you. When other people act like assholes, it's never because there's something wrong with the person they're being an asshole to.

It's possible to find more than one thing horrifying at once, fyi.

Speak entirely for yourself. I LIKE the pill I'm on. No periods, no side effects, and I have a 12-hour window should I forget to take one.

Iunno. Much less to worry about.

But how did she know they belonged to someone else?! I'm tattooing mine with my name and address right now, just in case!

Sadly, they very well might.

That's not what I said though. I said based on the information you said you had (that she ate cupcake batter and watched TV a lot) drawing those conclusions was a bigoted thing to do. And it was.
