While I do agree that the trailer is awesome (and sooo much better than the previous one), as a foreigner with next to no concept of the Super Bowl, I must insist that further mentions of it on this website use the variant Superb Owl.

You’re right on all counts. Also, none of the books actually deal with the Second Age, and everything you’ve described, if written properly, could be awesome television. We all know the story, we know how it ends, we’ve seen (or read, I hope) the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. We know the story. Give me something…
Exactly!
You know what? Fuck this show if it isn’t told from Sauron’s point of view. Yeah, sure, have a bunch of different characters and races in the mix, but make it all about Big S, the only really prominent character in the Second Age. We’ve seen Hobbits and the decline of the Elves, we’ve seen Men in like everything, not…
I think you might be closer to the truth than you imagine. Most theories about domestication posit Man The Hunter as the domesticator, and even with the more plausible ones (that wolves domesticated themselves), the human they interact with is imagined as this brutish, adult male hunter. Women and children, as well as…
“Therefore, the early domesticated wolves could have survived living alongside human populations by consuming the excess protein from hunting that humans could not,” explained Cole.
Nope, I’m not confusing the Marvel and DC universes, I’m just acknowledging the fact that we all live on Earth and that these things don’t happen in a vacuum. Marvel was dragging its feet with a female led superhero movie for 10 years until WW hit it big at the box office and they decided to make a movie about a super…
You might be right. I hated WW and the way it set the stage for Captain Marvel; and both films are just horribly ideological pieces of corporate “diversity”, so I might be confusing things. Don’t get me wrong, both were fun enough, but were ultimately totally blah.
So I wasn’t the only one to see Fennec? Awesome!
I can’t wait for this show, but sheesh, was it just me or was that a really, really bad trailer? Like film school year two quality? It gets better toward the end but dude...
Pardon me, but,
Rogue One is my favorite SW movie, and I love love LOVE that Cassian Andor is getting his own show, and I hope that they draw inspiration from partisan TV shows the same way they drew inspiration from partisan movies for Rogue One.
I’m just hoping he learned to act in between, because if we ever do get to see his face he’s gonna have to compete against Anakin in the last season of Clone Wars where the animation was excellent and definitely a shit tone better than his acting in any of the prequels.
Well, it’s certainly better that Benioff and Weiss, and I can see why the resident propagandist of the US war machine would be chosen to direct this particular movie. Awesome! Diversity!
I’da creamed you with my sword. No shield would have saved you.
YES. THIS IS WHAT I WANTED TO CONVEY. Thank you.
Am I the only person who’s completely lost interest in this show after season 1?
Hmmm how could a backwater magistrate know where Thrawn is if he got space whaled to a random location? Unless he’s back? But that seems kinda stupid and not at all in line with the new Thrawn books that paint him as a misguided good guy rather than the heir to the empire as it were.
The *actual* last Jedi, am I right?
Yeah, I caught that. It was for the sake of the physicality of the role. However, I still think that it could have been done and made to look really awesome if they hadn’t insisted on the whole headpiece being “one thing”. Even the short lekku looked kinda shitty due to lack of movement. Just add some joints at jaw…
