I think that the hot tub full of wine is genius, and I also think it should be considered a necessary medical treatment BECAUSE ANTIOXIDANTS.

I feel like that would really be the only reasonable response.

This perfectly sums up my feelings on the subject.

OH, I THINK IT IS.

YES I AGREE.

No potato cakes in the squad car?! POLICE BRUTALITY.

I'm okay until his hair is down, and then I suddenly find him hot. I never even thought about it until that post you did in GT with the video. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SHARE HIS ATTRACTIVENESS WITH ME? WHYYYYY?!

Oh gods - the diagrams...I can honestly say that Human Development and Reproduction was one of the hardest classes I took, and we did sooooo many diagrams!

OMG, I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THAT SCENE IN "ANGEL HEART" - THINKING ABOUT IT, IT WOULD HAVE MADE SUCH A DIFFERENCE! THAT ONE SCENE WOULD HAVE PULLED TOGETHER THAT FILM, BUT NOOOO, THEY HAD TO CUT IT TO RIBBONS.

I think you did - Cunnybird is actually even one of the Mustache Battle judges!

For me the AA and Somalia bits make it kinda offensive, honestly. Like the others are all cartoonish situations, so the satire kinda works (not well, but it works). I feel like those got added in for cheap shock value, which is too bad. :/

Had this not had the "AA" or "Somalia" parts, it would have been fine (not particularly hilarious, but fine) - as it is, it feels like those were added in for cheap shock value.

Oh! A science fiction author that doesn't get enough attention, in my opinion, is Sheri S. Tepper. She writes really amazing, rich stuff that addresses feminist questions in a really natural way.

Ooo! Good one!

I mentioned her in another comment, but Shirley Jackson was one of the greatest horror writers ever. I also second lurkerbynature's recs!

I know he's a big fan of a fair number of women writers, so I think this is just in regards to these particular series. I mean, from what I remember, he kinda idolizes Shirley Jackson (as well he should, she was one of the greatest horror writers ever) and his wife, as a fellow author and in-house critic, has a lot of

No reason to apologize - sometimes the first time is good, most times it's meh, and sometimes it's bad. The bad stories are just as worthy of being told.

Congratulations! Taking it moment-by-moment is really the only way to do it...I have my own ED stuff, and that has taught me that while I will never have a normal relationship with food, I can manage to have an abnormal-but-okay situation. For me it was important to recognize that, because I would get upset at myself

Signed! Mind if I share this on Groupthink?

I'm in Colorado, which has a horrific beetle-kill, as well. Part of the old-days bad forestry management involved replanting logging areas with a fast-growing type of pine, which happens to also be highly susceptible to beetles...in some areas the beetle die-off has allowed a more natural forest to begin to grow in,
