Channing Tatum is one of the single worst actors in Hollywood today... maybe of all time. He pulled off 21 Jump Street because he was playing a big dumb jock. No thanks.

Like all other comics in the 90's.
He's just so intrinsic to the Avengers in general, I'm rather disappointed he wasn't in the films already. If we ignore Ant-Man we don't get The Wasp, The Vision, Jocasta, and most importantly, Ultron. Plus he brings a lot of the psycho-drama that the Avengers comic became so famous for back in it's original run.
I just don't find the material very interesting. My only exposure is from the Stallone film, but I have zero desire to see this new film in the theaters. And with like thirty years of back story now I wouldn't even know where to begin to get on board with the comics. Movies are just too expensive these days. I haven't…
This is a concept I can't quite wrap my head around. And I mean no offense by this, but none of that really happened. Why does it bother you what fictional cartoon people do to one another? I mean, I get being emotionally involved with characters, and the scene with Ant Man squashing the Wasp and spraying her with bug…
This isn't a movie about Hank Pym anyway.
The point of the Ultimates, and the entire Ultimate U for that matter, was not to replicate the characters in a rebooted universe, but to create different versions of the characters we were familiar with. They weren't trying to "Get Pym and Rogers" they were making new Pyms and Rogers.
Lolwut? Are you really promoting the idea of teenagers murdering one another for mass entertainment purposes? That's dark, dude.
Uhhh... Nobody is talking about making an actual Reality version of Battle Royale. That would be fucking twisted man. Are you sure you aren't high?
You really seem to disdain Game of Thrones for some reason. Where in that show does it enforce the idea that women are weak unless they are or were rape victims? I would argue that Arya Stark, Kat Stark, Cersei Lannister, Brienne, Taelisa Maegyr, the Fire Priestess and both the Wildling women we have met so far are…
You should check out Kevin Smith's Fatman on Batman Podcast, particularly the Paul Dini and Mark Hamill episodes. Hearing Paul Dini get all choked up reminiscing about Heart of Ice is magical. Even if you aren't a Kevin Smith fan the interviews are so in depth and revealing that they are worth a listen.
I'll just point out that Mike, Kevin and Bill over at Rifftrax (which is what Mystery Science Theater is now known as) have indeed given this film the MST3K treatment. Hilarious.
I absolutely love that character. Just absolute genius delivery.
You, sir, should play the Etrian Odyssey series on DS. It is geared specifically to that sense of dungeon crawling/cartographing nostalgia. And it's a damn good series.
They've said it's going to be the new team.
You just got full on Shyamalaned!
Yes, very different. Bladur's Gate on PC was a party based tactical combat game built around the Dungeons and Dragons mechanics. The Baldur's Gate games on console were basically just Diablo clones, albeit fun ones.
Nope, you are correct. He was created for Smallville. Then again, so was Chloe and she is canon now... or was... Dunno if she exists in New 52. Regardless, your point is sound. Whitney Fordman has never appeared in a Superman comic book.
As other's have pointed out, Ant-Man is a founding Avenger who brings a lot of mythology along with him. The Wasp, Ultron, The Vision, Jocasta, Giant-Man, Yellowjacket, Goliath, etc. He's pretty important to the very concept of the Avengers. Besides that his character is an interesting one. He's super smart science…
I seem to recall Edgar Wright discussing that he would have more than one Ant-Man in the film. He made it sound like it will focus on the Eric O'Grady character (also dead in the comics I believe) but have Pym in there as the inventor of the tech/SHIELD scientist type.
