We need to invent a time machine and make that happen.
We need to invent a time machine and make that happen.
Bingo. I think you nailed it.
I am very intrigued by this idea. Do you think you could expand on this some? I've done a bit of reading, and see some connections, but I think you as a practicing Gnostic could explain it a bit better.
Yeah. I'm pretty sure that's what happened. The implication being that the worms were what made him go berserk zombie mode.
No, the Derelict in Alien is said to be ancient, and the events of Prometheus only take place thirty years before Alien. But I agree with you. That -was- a Xenomorph chest burster, just a big un.
Vickers knew Weyland was on the ship all along. That's why she went. She specifically says so to him after he wakes. I totally agree with Murdock that her motivations were all about proving herself a worthy successor to her father. He doesn't even acknowledge her, but tells everyone that David is "the closest thing I…
I dig your comment. I will say that HR Geiger, designer of the original aliens and a bit of the stuff in this movie, is kind of famous for inserting phallic imagery into his work. I definitely think it is intentional, especially considering all of the rape themes in the original Alien.
Okay... I thought it was great. Apparently I'm in a minority, but I just feel like everyone had these mammoth expectations. Alien and Aliens were both awesome flicks, but everybody remembers them as if they were high Art or something. Alien was a super tense horror movie, but that's it. It was a horror movie. Aliens…
I'm fine with all of your disdain for the film, I personally loved it. But... AvP? Good Gods man. That's one of the worst movies ever made. It's not better than anything! And, also, plenty of people love Lost... so I'm not sure where you are coming from on that one. Both Lost and Prometheus are about the Search for…
I was initially confused by this point as well. I think there are dots to connect, but I think most of the info has been given to us. The Derelict on LV-426 is very very old, and crashed. Alien takes place only thirty years after the disaster on LV-223. So no I don't think those two ships ever encounter one another.
Fassbender was brilliant.
Ha. I tend to be the same way. I'll start and get so focused on getting every little thing that I will burn out eventually. I really liked 12, but it took me awhile to get into. The first time I played it about 20 hours and was just like "What the fuck was that? That's Final Fantasy now?" But recently I decided to…
Or in the Darkest Timeline... Cruelcruelcruel!
Interesting. Didn't know it was on there. Thanks for the heads up, I think I'm about to get my Clone Trooper on!
He was one of Bison's henchmen in the original anime series. Granted, there is no real continuity in Street Fighter lore.
Yeah, but that's kind of my point. Everybody makes it seem like the battle system got a huge overhaul or something, but it's just the old ATB system with the X-2 (or like you point out the X) class change system mixed in, and then sped up to a point where it doesn't really feel like you are waiting on turns to roll…
Man, Republic Commando was badass too.
Oh yeah. That could be quite cool. And, not that it will ever happen, but I would love to see Gregory Stark on the big screen. No idea who would play him that could keep up with RDJ, but man that would be awesome.
Well... sort of. The primary difference is that in X you could just sit there forever, set the controller down and walk away and nothing would happen. In X-2 and XIII (and most FF games in general) monsters will keep attacking you if you don't make a decision. So it -is- turn based, but there is still pressure on you…
It's basically the same combat system from X-2. So it's very fast paced and actionish, but that's really an illusion. It is still the Active Time Battle system, it's just sped up a bit.
