Once again, not to defend the guy, but looking at this objectively, I’m pretty sure not telling her and/or ending the marriage was less about him and more about what it might do to the kids.

That’s what I read it as. I think a lot of people are clicking this article with a mentality where they’ve already judged the guy before reading anything and it’s skewing a lot of the comments to make assumptions that simply don’t match what the article says.
