I've sold off all of my old consoles and don't play them.. Only thing that stays consistently is PC, and that's because it's constantly the same platform and I can upgrade it as I go. I still own some OXB games, but I haven't touched any of them in years even though the 360 is backwards compatible with all of them.

Um... You CAN share your copy of your game with your family... Up to 10 people as long as they're in your family, on any Xbox One anywhere. You people really need to do more research before making assumptions... >_<

Nope, no idiot-calling here. Probably the least irritating comment I've read in days.

I commend you for not being a closed-minded bigot.

That pretty much describes the vast majority of the internet currently.

Xbox has been the target of all the hate for as long as I can remember, really.

Not surprising that everyone is flipping a shit about the One, seeing as everyone was

Yeah... Because I feel so bad about myself. I called you daft based entirely on the evidence available to me.

Yeah... Guaranteed hacking of a service running 300,000 servers that has been funded by millions of gamers worldwide for the last 11 years or so... You're a daft one, aren't you?

They said it right as they made the announcement. "Yours to keep."

How did you miss that?

Because there are plenty of people who aren't adopting the Xbox One immediately, and there are a lot of people still using old models of their 360's and probably looking for an upgrade.

They said that you get to keep them. Period. That's the point.

Except that you get to keep the games you get through XBL. PS Plus you lose the games if you unsubscribe.

I call bullshit on this. "If I can't connect I flip Steam/Origin/Uplay into offline mode and away I go."

In order to flip it into offline mode, you must already be online. If you turn on your computer and can't connect to the internet, you have no connection to Steam/Origin/Uplay, therefore you cannot sign in,

That, and most of the DRM free services only provide you with old games.

Do I play my steam games when I can't connect? No, because if I can't connect, I can't sign in. If I can't sign in, I can't play my steam games anyways (unless I open them via the executables instead, but if I can't access my internet I usually just go out and have a life instead anyways. And yes, I do have a job, and

Good for you.

Steam is free, but is the computer that can play the games purchased through Steam free? No. Steam is not a platform, it is a digital distributor. Not the same thing, therefore your argument is invalid.

And I respect that, if the people complaining about it are actual service members for that reason, then it's valid. But I don't buy it when people who are not service members are bitching that service members won't have access as if they actually care rather than simply needing something to bitch about.

See, I can respect that. What I can't respect is all the "This console sucks!" talk even though we still really don't know all that much.

Personally, I'm just glad that someone posted an actually amusing thread rather than the millions of bitching posts there have been over the past few weeks.

If I'm at a friend's house I doubt I'm playing an offline game if I'm playing games at all.

Either I'm playing something multiplayer while connected to the internet or I'm actually OUT having a good time with said friends than sitting around in the house.

I beg to differ. If I want to take my Xbox One to a friend's house and he has shitty internet, no problem, not like I'll need to be connected very long in order to play offline. And I don't have any friends who have no internet, so that's not an issue. Another thing is, most people who will be able to afford these
