And yet you’re here...

1. Get my 1990 SPG road worthy. That requires fixing rust in the A-arm section, the last piece of the rust repair I need to finish. New tires, brake rotors, battery. I need to get this car road worthy to possibly move out of state! (Possibly closer to Jalopnik headquarters).

Amen, I am looking to buy an Alltrack in a couple of years but THIS is what I really want.

YES. As a w126 owner I pine for this custom dream.

Agreed, so much this. Is it really worth risking bystander life to pursue? No its not.

I’m a pessimist (or maybe an optimist?) but I dont think there are 80 people who will spend that kind of coin on this either. So maybe at the end of the year these may be dealer specials with some nice mark downs?

Welcome to Maine! Also because of privacy laws in Maine, the federal government will not recognize a Maine-issues driver’s license as a valid form of ID next year. (Although the deadline keeps getting kicked down the line). They also wanted to put Maine in different time zone about 6 years back ... they just do things

Its funny, but then you have to realize its not a car, but a land moving aircraft.

God I forgot about this video! I has the laughs again.

There’s always one guy ...

How does this “ladder up” to Volvos Core Values while giving the consumer Value Add?

I’ve read that as well, that there is more particles passing through the K&N filter. I’m a dork, I keep with Mann or OEM filters because of this. As they say, no “free lunch” in life. On older cars, the AMM (Air Mass Meter or Air Flow Meter, AFM) doesn’t really like the oil from the filter. On my E28 I ruined my AFM

You sir, are a horrible human.

GM never understood what SAAB was or what their market appeal was. It wasnt a good marriage, Ford at least understood what the appeal for Volvo was and grew its base with the XC90. GM just never understood that brand so they failed. Case in point. GM pushed SAAB to lower the MSRP of the 2006 9-5 by a little under $2k

Normally I would give NP for this ... ok hear me out. If its made it this far it, more than likely, has been very well maintained and I’m of the mind that a car over 180k is a better bet than a car with 100k, because maintenance. But then I saw the CL ad in all CAPS and I went CP.

The only one I got was the BMW Bavaria. I also have a tendency to see what I WANT to see. Like when I stare at headlights coming the other way by slowing deteriorating my eyesight because I WANT that headlight coming to be something cool. So #1 I saw a 993 Porsche. Blast. Alfa is cool though ...

I believe that is a Honda Civic, no? And YIKES.

I particularly like the speedo set at a non-offensive 55 mph.

I am going to use your term “bilateral rustectomy” now, that is genius! My ‘06 9-5 wagon needs a bilateral rustectomy.

Good point, here in the northeast though, after 1 winter in Maine it would be past the point of passing inspection unfortunately. But in a more less rusty rusty-land you could get some time out of it.
