Going to have to say it, Classic SAAB 900 Turbo.
Double wishbone suspension and “passive rear steering”, equal length front axles so minimal torque steer and impressive handling for a FWD car. And just look at it:

Why are you even here? You’re not a car enthusiast. This is a site for car enthusiasts.
Those ribs carried over into the W126's early years.
A mortgage of less than $1000 a month? In the US?
You.
The 1.6 and 1.8 from the Leone’s? Possibly what you are thinking of with the BRAT.
I was searching for CPO E450 this summer. There are barely any out there because it’s not popular to begin with, and is the sort of car that is passed down to the wealthy person’s 17 year old to drive to high school. Lastly, they hold their value so well. Went with CPO Range Rover that despite the crazy used car…
Which is why I buy VW wagons, and they’ve stopped importing those to North America as well.
No lease deals, they usually don’t have any rebates either when the sedans do. AND they’re a higher base price, the ones I’ve seen come through are mid-$70s average, which will buy you a pretty nicely equipped GLE with an available forward-facing third row. There is far less sea ice than 1980; it’s been decreasing nearly every year. Are you hanging onto a fluctuation? I’d love to see those satellite photos from 100 years ago for comparison. Include both extent and thickness as well. Also include global ice. The Arctic isn’t the planet.
Not a great argument. https://nsidc.org/cryosphere/sotc/sea_ice.html
“It snowed = no global warming, science is wrong.”
Honey-baked ham? That’s your problem right there. If that held steamed hams, it’d be a best-seller, at least in the Albany area.
That’s one hot hatch…
Jay Leno has one of the seven made.
Jason keep in mind that Experian (and R.L. Polk, owner of CarFax) are only obtaining registration data on cars with the SAE/NHTSA standardized 17-digit VIN format. This was mandated for 1981 Model Year cars, although I have seen a few 1980's using it also.
I guess SAAB is totally in “Other”? Bummer they don’t even warrant their own callout anymore.
Amen. I lost my favorite car company, both as a company and as a maker of awesome-y goodness. I gave up my last 9-5 wagon 6 months ago and I still miss it. Now I wander aimlessly for posts like this dreaming of owning once again.
