Same, I live in Maine. But that being said I deal with rust all the time, I think I have nightmares when I see any orangish colors even resembling rust. I am so DONE with rust.

I agree, shady sell tactics isn’t a good sign. Who knows what he has done to polish this bad boy up for sale.

Normally I would say NP, but with rust in the “Honda Spot” its a CP. Rust is just a constant plague.

I know totally drawing a blank on this one, hmm. 2008, maybe its when avocado toast was invented?

This makes me happy. I read this as saving the w126 Mercs. I see in the before and after photos, the w126 seem to have surviving the culling. As a w126 fan that made me smile.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO. Jesbus, I have literally been saying to myself “Ok in 2 years I am buying a NEW Sportwagon or Alltreck. Probably a manual SE Alltreck. Thanks VW for providing a manual AWD wagon!”

Yeah my 2000 is still going strong, my mother is driving it with 230k on it. I would have kept driving it but the rust was becoming an issue, thats really the only big flaw that I see. The engine/trans are rock solid (just maybe need a HG at some point or re-torque your head bolts). Its worth repairing. Everything

It drives very well, the steering and handling is noticeably better than the 1999-2005 9-5s. They retuned the suspension and steering, and widened the rear track. (Wider tires also but even with 225 series tires the notice is significant). The downsides are a few nice features are deleted so GM could lower the MSRP by

Besides the obvious comments on the Viper... the 1990 MERCEDES-BENZ 560SEC AMG ... I knew they were valuable but ... wow. I sat in one about 7 years ago at my mechanics (no where near as nice as this one but decent), I didn’t realize they could fetch that kind of money.

Yeah that was a big part of it. I bought a ‘01 GTi 1.8T new, it was assembled in Argentina i believe. It was epically unreliable. Electrics were a nightmare, manual transmission defects, even the body structure had loosened up to the point it was loud to hear over the stereo ... at 12k miles. Also the handling was

Now playing

I am more of a Merc guy than a BMW guy (have one of each from 80's era) and I probably love the 190 EVO II more... but the E30 M3 is the better car to drive. Plus its the definitive DTM car from that era. Proofs:

Any chance you can give us the name of the Ford dealer in Florida here?

Yeah exactly, explain this was a better choice than a SAAB 99 Turbo or 900 SPG.

2 of my three SAABs. I’ve had my SPG for 14 years now!

These are appreciating classics. If you have ever met someone who owned an old SAAB 900 Turbo you will see tears in their eyes as they describe it and how much they miss it. These are cars that are coming into demand slowly but it is picking up pace. When they are very clean they fetch a fine price (see bringatrailer),

NP. They only imported 771 1990 SPGs to the US and they are extremely rare now, as most have rotted out. If this one has a solid body with no rust, it will sell for 8k. I have a 1990 Black SPG, and its not a very good one. Now I am tempted to buy this but I would feel guilty parting out mine. These are wonderful cars

Unfortunately there is allot more Buick in that one than I care to live with. However I will say it was still wonderful. The previous 9-5 was the KING IMO. I’m biased though, I have two 9-5's and a 900 SPG.

I’ve encountered the “well I prefer a sedan over a wagon, I like that they are sportier-looking” argument several times and I still scratch my head.

They happen in Los Angeles too. I remember seeing a guy who was a regular for car repair on Alvarado and Glendale in Echo Park. Right there in front of the Advanced Auto inches away from busy 2-3 lanes of traffic. Also my neighbor replaced the engine in his sentra on a steep incline in Echo Park, at least 20 degrees

Not until I go to this race! Its been on the top of my bucket list for 20 years.
