Let’s not get carried away here.

1. Ford

The “greenies’ you’re talking about are just as far in the spectrum of craziness as the climate change deniers.

child labor isn’t solely a “green” energy problem.

This is true currently (location-dependent), but the problem is that your Mazda 3 will never improve. EVs can improve as their power source improves.

And fracking is not good either.

Yes, it’s from 2006.

“China can do it because you need to be a little authoritarian to make this work”

Depends were you live.

In rural Ohio, They’ve been actively replacing traffic lights with roundabouts. We have 5 or 6 new ones over the last 5 years. Pretty cool!

Like the Prius, the Gen 1 Volt runs indefinitely. Eric Belmer has 400k on his and it hasn’t even lost range yet. Those cars are so overbuilt...

Now playing

Chevy Bolt. Less money, more miles than a Model 3. You can buy it now, has the same acceleration as the Model 3 (within a fraction of a second), and it’s stuffed with tech. Most importantly, it’s not made by Tesla, meaning the panels will fit right and the interior won’t rattle and squeak and fall apart like a 70's

I vote 2016 Caddy ELR. The last model, in the best spirit of GM, was made quite good right before they cancelled it. Quite quick in it’s own right, loaded with good technology, a great interior, and that electric vibe. 0-60 is 6.4 or so seconds, but the around-town performance is much closer to a low 5 second car

The C-Pillar is no longer a pillar but a monolith, seriously I would like to see out the back. I’m sure it will be toned down for production and along with production form we get to Mazda’s biggest problem, lack of power. Their engines seriously suck, my turbo 4 gets better mileage and makes gobs more torque and more

That’s for outside advertising, yes, not for communication to employees or email. Worst thing you’ll get things like that, which is still far more courteous than french/English only. Official language is French, so what’s wrong ?

quebec in general and montreal in specific can be super touchy about their language laws

I enjoy driving just like everyone else here, but I only push my own car on my own time. I’m not going to abuse a vehicle that isn’t mine just because I don’t have to pay for the car after I bring it back. I want the car I rent to run trouble free the entire time I have it.

I once averaged 19 MPG mixed in a rental base model Mini Cooper. You can imagine the abuse it took to achieve that. Hint: redline it. Everywhere.

Farted continuously in rental Camry all the way from Montreal to NYC.
