I grew up in a small southern town. There was a man from a town over the ridge who would often take his mule cart into town on the weekends. It was not unusual to see him on a Saturday night, passed out in the back of the cart, while the mule slowly made his way back home.
This is why curtain airbags ARE mandated now. You have airbags everywhere around your head in all new vehicles.
If you’re not willing to wear a helmet while operating a car/truck/tractor/bicycle/horse/racing snail/etc. then you really have no business nannying a motorcyclist who chooses to let the wind flow through their hair.
Except the car itself provides the protection (if you’re wearing a seatbelt) when you’re driving. That’s why helmets aren’t required for driving!
