On the plus side, the Rockets and Cavs have won a ton of hypothetical championships over the past five years and that’s really the most important thing.
“I wanted to comment on my team winning and was forced to go to Twitter instead.”
It’s a pretty quick play, but I think Looney’s going straight up and Kawhi’s initiating all the contact. Thought they shoulda swallowed the whistle on that one.
To add insult to literal injury, Looney was whistled for a blocking foul on the play
Not enough people talk about LeBron. Thanks.
Kudos for actually looking at evidence and changing your mind. On the internet no less!
It was natural until he got hip-checked, man. You fucked up in that you listened to Jeff Van Gundy and decided to run with it.
That’s a bad angle. He got hip checked. Shoulda been 3 FTs.
As an aside, they need to bring the old caricature shirts back:
You are 1/3rd right about each of these perfect basketball players. There is no purer sight in the world than watching Lance Stephenson do 45 crossovers, end up in the same place, and short-arm a jumper. And jokes aside, Draymond’s the best defender in the league and only kicked that one dude in the dick twice (sorry…
“He’s the best center still suiting up for NBA games, by a large margin.”
Ah, man. I love Draymond. I also love Lance Stephenson and Pat Beverley and that whole class of professional agitators. So, well, we’re probably not gonna see eye-to-eye on that one. I’m aware how outnumbered I am here, of course.
I’ve personally never been a big jersey guy (usually just get a decent t-shirt repping the team or somesuch) but general rule of thumb: if you’re older than the player, maybe don’t wear his jersey?
I’m a fan of not yelling insults at dude’s who are at work entertaining you. Like, cheer and boo and be an enthusiastic fan, go nuts, but don’t sit there yelling at massive dudes who would, in any other setting, shove you in a locker with the greatest of ease.
Remember hearing an interview with Draymond when he came into the league. He said he’d pay attention to the student section in opposing arenas and find a kid talking shit. Every play he made, he’s point to the kid and say “this shit is your fault.” It was petty and insane and perfectly incapsulates the Draymond…
I’m too old to wear a dude’s jersey without feeling a little embarrassed. Whereas Drake’s gonna have a Zion Williamson tramp stamp in like four years. It’s fucking amaaaaazing.
I’m a Warriors fan and found it hard to gin up much hate for the Raptors going into the series. Most of their guys are either cool or nondescript and they seem free of goons and ref-baiters. Their fans are a little thirsty, but whatever. This wasn’t like playing Houston, where it felt like a referendum on that…
Coulda certainly been clearer, though I still believe that most fans think both KD & Kawhi are better than Steph (which is obviously not a crazy take!).
Mentioned this to another commenter, but the consensus is certainly that Durant is better. Personally, I think Steph’s the best player on earth, but realize I’m in the (possibly growing) minority there.
