“Ohhhh so THATS what you’re supposed to do”

I agree with most of this, minus the Payton stuff. He was actually kind of nice when he played last year and if the injuries aren’t a chronic thing, he might turn into something real. PGs tend to take a while (which could also be a pro-Ball argument, I realize, but I saw it last year with Payton). Also, NO has Jrue,

They really have a lot of promise this offseason. They should end up with at least one A-lister and suddenly that team is solidly in the Denver/Portland tier in the West, maybe higher, depending on who and how he fits. Bailing on Tobias seems smarter by the day. Jerry West teams just do this, man. It’s uncanny.

I think Ingram is pretty nice and agree he has some upside. People need to stop comping him to Durant because he’s a skinny swingguy, but he has some tools. Thing is: he wasn’t great last year and you gotta decide how much of that is LeBron taking over too much of the offense and Ingram losing some of his agency. I

Nobody! That’s why I’ve been talking myself into the Clippers. They just hung with the Warriors and they don’t have The Guy. I get that trading Lou and Shamet and stuff makes you thinner, but I really like their roster. Fuck, they got Zubac for free! Throw him in! If you’re New Orleans, wouldn’t adding a couple young

Honestly, Brown looks like a surer prospect right now. None of Tatum, Brown, Lonzo, or Brandon Ingram look all that enticing. I might rather have Kuzma and I’m not even sure he’s that good. Kinda feel like the Clippers can get him if they go for it. Like their two young dudes and they have some impossibly good

“I haven’t seen a collection of slippery runs like that since Attila the Hun ate a gunnysack full of santa fe chalupas, babe. Chachi chachi chachi.

“Now check this out, Iman. This one right here is a Hublot. The name is French, but the company was founded by an Italian!”

My all time favorite Melo quote:

Definitely smart to reduce Zion, an otherworldly athlete with great feel and an endless motor, to a guy who doesn’t shoot threes enough. Can’t see that backfiring on you.

He coaches Dame Lillard. He really should understand giving a guy like that space.

Maybe he thinks they’re playing Westbrook again?

Ms. Pac Man is the only perfect game, you fucking charlatans

The Bucks are probably Daniel-San from Karate Kid 2. Don’t overthink it.

I read it as the later. I’ve never heard much about him being prickly, but he was crazy inconsistent all year. Would put up 23, then go 0-7. When your minutes are getting jerked around and a dude who probably deserves to have his minutes jerked around is spared by his college coach, that’s gonna piss you off.

If the Lakers were going to hire a ex-point-guard-turned-coach-who-was-fired-and-his-team-immediately-became-world-beaters-the-year-later, couldn’t they have hired Mark Jackson so we wouldn’t have to listen to him during the conference finals?

I’m not sure they actually forgot that versus the fact that it just didn’t fit the narrative of their hypothetical championship.

Someone else hipped me to that and then the statement made a lot more sense. I’d still probably prefer Nash, but it’s not a run-away.

That’s how I feel. Rose’s peak was a couple years. Westbrook’s last three years are disqualifying. Wall’s never done anything. Harden’s a two and probably needs to make a Finals before we give him that kind of love.

Parker’s tough to rank for all the reasons you mentioned. Somehow, I feel like I’m missing somebody from that list but can’t figure out who. Don’t think it’s anybody playing now (though Dame could muscle his way in there by the time all’s said and done).
