Goddamnit.

They should have used the wheels off of the 997 Sport Classic.

Evan Gattis has been there too, multiple times.

Not that you don’t know this but the 997 is sorta the secret last classic. I’d like a Carrera 2 S or a Turbo personally.

I did something similar, also for a porsche. I flew from the warm weather of the southeast coast to the frozen hellhole of practically canada wisconsin and drove back 1100 miles on summer tires in the middle of winter.

I did that once in 11th grade. Sprinting straight backwards, dove at full stretch, caught the ball before it could land behind me. My coach later told me that the opposing coach told him that my catch was the greatest catch he’d ever seen.

If there’s one thing the kids love these days, it’s Barney Miller references.

Malcolm Gladwell has an excellent podcast episode about this very issue. “Human factors” and ergonomics are fascinating.

ah thats fantastic. I would have expected them to lose in the finals or for him to accidentally cut himself on the trophy and develop sepsis

I used to be a basketball player, but then I took a bullet to the knee.

If my 3 year old Son is driving then yes most definitely! And if he’s trying real hard you may end up under the piano!

Huh, I haven’t played baseball since little league, but I remember we were always taught to yell “ball!” if we had it or “help!” if we didn’t because “I got it!” and “you get it!” can sound a bit similar when running/yelling (especially because it’s easy to drop the I/you). I just assumed this was general practice.

To better understand why Jason Werth was so livid, please look at the pitchfx for his called strike out.

omg... reminds me - I know someone who has the worst pedal control ever. riding in his car, I seriously thought he was doing it on purpose. we’d be fluctuating between 60-80 - and not like, slowly speeding up, it’s full on kickdown. I don’t get car sick. but then again, I realize I do.

Fuck that noise. Negra Modelo or GTFO.

10/10 would get groceries in

That depressing opening got redeemed when Matt Moore (!!!) hit a little-league double.

Just a suggestion, but the investigators at AT&T may want to start with the bullpen...

Notably, Alsup was also the judge presiding over Oracle v. Google when Oracle was trying to say that Google producing a Java-compatible-but-not-Java compiler was copyright infringement. This is not his first high-profile tech-lawsuit rodeo.
