I have 2 2008 Audis - S4 Avant and RS4.  I maintain them religiously with LiquiMoly oil.  Never had a single issue.  People’s problems are they assume all cars are Hondas or Toyotas and get lax with regular maintenance.  You can’t do that with German cars or they will bite you in the ass (wallet)!

This price is actually on the low side for an S4 Avant with the timing chains done.  When I was looking for mine, anything with the chains were in the $18-$24k range.  There were a couple on BAT that went for nearly $30k, but that’s because of the absurd bidding on BAT.  I bought my single owner-maintained by the book…

I beg to differ.  Porsche ran a 2.0 litre V4 twin turbo in their 919 Le Mans car.  The engine alone put out 500 bhp.  From a 2 litre twin turbo V4!!!

220 hp is hardly “a lot of ponies” from a 5.0 liter V8.  I had a VW Jetta GLI that made 200 hp from a 2.0 liter 4!

You do realize that Hondas are manufactured in Ohio, Indiana and Mexico and that the largest automotive assembly plant in the world is a Toyota plant in Tennessee. All of these “Pearl Harbor bombing” Japanese cars are made mostly by Americans and Mexicans.

Absolutely correct except the B6/7 Audis are much better looking than the B8s (current owner of an ‘08 RS4 and ‘08  S4 Avant).
