And for the person that’s going to mention the “awesome” supercharging network...what if, on our spur-of-the-moment trip, we decide to go off the main roads to venture to see the “World’s Largest Ball of Twine”.  Now range anxiety is really going to set in!

So, your solar panels were free?

I’ll keep my RS4, thank you. Electric vehicles are fine for city use. Expensive but fine. The problem is the United States is a car-centric society and a really big place and the range and “refueling” of electric cars sucks. I live and Cleveland and my mom and sister live in Indianapolis. In my Audi RS4 I can get

What kind of pump has no moving parts? You need an impeller to circulate fluid through a closed system.  Hence...moving parts.

This year’s German GP was one of the best F1 races in a long time, all due to the weather.

Actually it was.  My step-father had one when I was in college...black with black vinyl landau roof.  Torque steer was so bad you didn’t need the steering wheel to make right turns.  He ordered the car with a manual and had to wait months for it.

I blame Tesla for everyone jumping on the electric car band wagon. Unless you live near Niagra Falls or in the Pacific Northwest where the majority of electricity comes from, you’re just using a different part of the dinosaur (coal) to power your car. And in American car-centric society everyone takes their family

You’re absolutely right.  But if I DO like and care about cars, they have no right whatsoever to judge me and what I park in the driveway.  As long as the yard doesn’t look like a junk yard, they can fuck off.

You’ve got issues.  No one is going to tell me what I can and can’t drive based on their own personal taste.

One of my DRC struts recently sprung a leak...at 92,000 miles.  It was very simple to remove the DRC struts and install KW V3 coil overs.  Ride is even better.

Simple fix...coil overs.

I carbon cleaned my RS4 last summer.  Get a hopper, hose and wand from Harbor Freight.  Fab a 6 in piece of clear hose to put the wand into and hook a shop vac up to and get a set of clay modeling tools to scrape the tough spots.  Intake gaskets are less than $100.  The hardest part about disassembly/reassembly is one

Do NOT put OEM brake pads on these.  They have a severe design fault where the pads where down to the rivets and destroy the rotors before the sensors tell you to replace pads.  I run Redstuff pads.  They wear really well, minimal brake dust and no damage to my rotors.  They’ve been on my RS4 for three years.

Don’t think so.  Like all of Trumps Trump-line of suits, ties, etc. not mad in the USA.  Same goes for Ivanka’s crap line of crap she sells.  All made in China or Taiwan.

It’s a little smaller and better looking but, yes, it almost does look like the front end of the X7.

I have a feeling this will be GM’s “New Coke”.  The mid-engine will come out.  It’ll be rife with issues.  Everyone will scream for the old front-engine.  And the “Classic Corvette” will be born.

The FSI engines are the ones that have the carbon issue - I have a 2008 GLI that I cleaned last summer. Good God it was disgusting. This has the TSI which made the carbon issue less of an issue.

Small, non-automotive, correction.  The Who dressed like and played for the Mods.  Their music was certainly Rocker but they were a Mods band.

Even bigger question...Is he going to levy his tariffs on Buicks made in Germany and Buick and Chevy SUVs made in China and Korea?  I don’t think he knows how the economy works.  The largest BMW plant in the world is in South Carolina making SUVs for the US and for EXPORT to other countries.  The largest Toyota

Great article!  I have an ‘08 RS4 and the only way I can afford to own it is to do my own work on it.  Fortunately, I love working on cars.
