Simple. 700 mile range for the e39 in road trip conditions. So you will need to stop for gas once. Leave early, stop once in the middle of the day for lunch and a #1. Drive to the nightly stopping point for a late dinner, crappy nights sleep in a cheap motel, and a #2.
Spyker is super underrated. Saw a C8 Lav last week, and spent a while staring at it. They just look so damn good. Hopefully people buy this one. Every time I think about Spyker I get sad because I'm pretty sure they won't last long.
I agree 100%. People do all kinds of crazy swaps on them, but I've never seen an actual VW engine swapped in. Porsche engines are the most common. The best I've ever seen was some dude who had swapped in a BMW V12 and was running 11s at Pomona.
This is sad. I love mine to death. Learned to drive manual on it and used it as the canvas for my first attempt at car-painting. My entire life, when I took a second to remember that the VW bus was still being produced, it just made the world seem like a better place.

Also, he refused to back down on disgustingly unfair labor demands (which were later deemed unconstitutional), resulting in a cancelled World Series and a missed chance to see a player hit .400 for the first time since Ted Williams. I still have it. Too expensive to fix, too busted up to sell, and I love it too much to part it out. So I'm going to do something fun to it and drive it till it dies.
Word. There's no worse look than having to say, "oh yeah, sorry, just throw that shit in the back" every time someone opens the passenger door.
Yup, that's a Glock alright. Later dude. Hope you look good in orange.
The M3 I just bought has been serviced by these guys for the last few years. I now have the utmost confidence in them.
Memo to kids whose dads have fast cars: Yes. It is awesome. You could totally take it. Your friends would totally be impressed. But don't. You don't have the skills yet. It's a lot different than your (insert your car here). If you drive a car twice as powerful as anything else you've driven, you're going to want to…
Waiting at the smog test place today, I read an article in an old magazine (R&T or C&D, I don't remember which) that pitted the MP412C, the 458, and the ZR1 against each other. The ZR1 took second in a very tight race (loser McLaren had like 360 points, winner Ferrari had like 380) despite costing significantly less…
