All I could think the whole time was that this was definitely something an alt-timeline Wolf would have gotten himself into, which made me laugh a lot during the sex dungeon scenes.

The problem with the episode is that we know why Tek Knight invited Webweaver to the party: Webweaver has an orifice no one else has. You KNOW Tek Knight was all interested in that, because orifices are his thing. Webweaver’s suit has a convenient hole in it for that orifice. We then see Hughie walking around in the

I am kinda gonna miss Wolf Tek Knight.

I love both Blade Runner films, for different reasons. Villeneuve is a beautiful filmmaker, and he was the only reason I was willing to see it, and I was really moved by it.

And I didn’t like the whole implication that there’s a whole Replicant resistance movement in BR2049. That’s just so trite like they are setting up a whole Replicant Rebel Alliance against the evil empire of Tyrell (or whatever Jared Leto’s successor company was). I liked how the original Blade Runner was small scale.

I think the video serves as an important reminder to hesitate before doing the kind of logical nitpicking that often happens in these cases. I could certainly imagine people going, “Wait, you’re saying P Diddy managed to run down a hallway at a fancy hotel, grab a woman, and kick her twice, all while wearing a towel?

This meandering essay does not resemble a movie review.

Funny thing to me is the Jerry Seinfeld I know and love from the show would never date an 18 year old. Not because he thought it was morally wrong necessarily but because he’s so hyper-aware of the rules of society I don’t think he could go through with it.

One of the greatest Simpsons jokes ever:

Right, but Messiah was him writing without someone more powerful than him trying to talk him into/out of certain things, which Campbell was legendary/notorious for. The reason most of the super-famous Golden Age writers stopped writing for Astounding was because of ideas Campbell was not only enthused about, but kept

I just want to share, because I think sometimes it’s easy to feel despair when dealing with these huge entrenched problems: In my experience the impact of ‘Me Too’ has been absolutely seismic.

Even better than the movie where he is “lowered like a drawbridge, fully clothed, onto a naked woman”?

I think it must be weird to meet with an agent and have him be like, “You look like a handsome asshole, so we’re going to put you up for a lot of handsome asshole roles.” Then you go to an audition for The Dark Knight Rises, and get cast because you have a look that immediately screams Upper Crust Douchebag I Want

Long movie is long. It was good though. The different animation styles were great but some times I was questioning the use as they shifted. There were times when I was wondering if I was watching a 3d version as there was some of the out of focus stuff that you see when you take off your glasses in a 3d movie. I guess

Counterpoint: The point of being a billionaire is that time has no meaning and every day can be made extraordinary through your wealth.

I refuse to surrender the lesbian gaze to a straight man just because he likes girls that can beat him up.

The Shining is an amazing, classic horror film. It’s also an adaptation that *entirely* misses the point of the source material.

I would argue that The Thing is exceptionally faithful. Remember that being faithful doesn’t mean filming exactly what is on the page, you have to make changes for the medium, runtime, etc. What makes it faithful is whether it successfully preserves the themes, messages, and characterizations that make a story

I had to explain to my kids that no, I was not born in the 19th century because I'm not the oldest human alive. That led to a boring discussion on calendars and, eventually, why 2001 was the millennium and not 2000. No Year Zero, no Zeroth Century.

Honestly I’ll take bloomers and parasols over more fucking mom jeans thank you very much.
