The only reason I have any idea about "salad cream" is one throwaway joke about salad cream sandwiches in Good Omens.

An old high school classmate (Facebook friend, but not a real friend) just named her daughter Kamryn.

When my daughter was 4, she was making a verbal list of things she was thankful for. This quote was in the middle of the list:

The fact that she didn't list a Kardashian or Taylor Swift means you've done your job as a father

Jimmy's heels are also WAY EASIER than Liam's heels. A stiletto type vs. an office pump? Not fair, and anyone who's worn both types knows it.

Exactly. I't super fucked up. And some of the men who have said terrible comments about how we look have actually tried to invest in our company. SORRY, NOPE, PAL.

This is what an ally looks like.

My business partner and I are in the tech industry (we're both founders and are women). We'll go to the huge conferences and all the other women (maybe 10% of the attendees) will be wearing super nice dresses and shoes. We don't own clothes like that, so we'll show up in collared shirts, black jeans, leather jackets,

Yeah, I don't think he "simply" tried to show the double standard. I think he went well out of his way to provide some insight to people who are naysayers or who just don't get it.

Let me see if I have this right: he tries an experiment to see if something is true. Yes, yes, it's an obvious one, but still, give him credit.

I like this guy! Just to add to the points he was making- this also has obvious financial effects as well. Women are expected to wear different and reasonably on trend clothing, shoes and makeup. Men can get by with about three suits, a couple pairs of shoes, a dozen shirts and ties for years!

This is really cool. It's nice to see a dude go to so much effort to make this kind of point, and manage to do it in an attention-getting but not chiding or shamey way. ALL THE CANDY CANES FOR YOU, KARL STEFANOVIC. YOU GO KARL STEFANOVIC.

...he simply proved something we all already know, the double standard women deal with on a day-to-day basis.

But language is always in flux... so.

weird how when it's conan pointing out the dumb awful shit in videogames everyone else takes for granted he's not flooded with death threats

"What's the most valuable thing in the world to you?"
"A signed photo of Kris Jenner."

Right, I didn't love the ick-factor element, but it made sense for Mindy's character/personality on the show. Maybe it's more like her bringing in another woman character who does love it to counter Mindy's pov

Peter is always amazing and is definitely my favorite character on the show, but he was KILLING IT last night. Between his explanation on how he knew Danny was lying, the skeleton demos, and his eyebrow bandaids, I have a new major major crush.

I feel it's a good movie about bad people. Everyone I've talked to about the characters being bad people, I always have to question, what's the alternative? From now on, we only have films full of moral, upstanding, kind people? Every film is now Toy Story, except with the whole part with the crazy neighbor kid cut
