Don’t cut him out of anything. His appearances in these are just pointless stunts, which he revels in and used it as his governing principle. In the future, people need to see how shallow and untalented he was.

There’s a situation comedy in there somewhere:

I think of the Sopranos as an analogy. Everyone who comes into the family’s orbit eventually has their lives destroyed yet there was always someone waiting in line to step up and take the warm embrace that comes with being close to power.

In other news, Trump’s longtime physician died. He’s the guy who said in 2016 “If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

Trump himself was said to have been disappointed that his supporters attacking the Capitol looked “low class.” He had to have known, somewhere in his lizard brain, that these slovenly low-lifes did not present a winning image. Fascism doesn’t work without uniformity, disciplined appearance and coordinated action.

I lived in New York in the late 80's, when Giuliani was elected Mayor and Trump was in his failed casino building days. It seems surreal that the two of them were destined to be entwined in these infamous final days of their careers, heading for the ash heap of history and fighting with each other at the end.

I remember Michael Stipe’s story of going to Patti Smith’s show in the Village and having Trump and his date join them in the VIP lounge. He wouldn’t shut up and finally Stipe told him to be quiet after which Trump got up and left.

Oh fuck him. Trump gave him his truck nuts necklace yesterday, and he should have refused it like Belichick did if he had ANY credibility.

An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile — hoping it will eat him last.

Boebert posted Nancy Pelosi’s location on Parler even though she was admonished by the Sgt. at Arms not to do so. She was a fifth columnist and needs to be investigated.

Someone needs to take a full page ad out in the New York Times calling for Trump to be removed from office and prosecuted.

Probably around the time that Drew Magary started taking him apart on a weekly basis in the dear, departed Deadspin.

“The most masculine person I think to ever hold the White House is the President of the United States.”

All of us has a Jeffery Toobin skeleton in our closet. Some of us even read Peggy Noonan and said to ourselves, “Yah know, she has a point there.” Admitting to our shortcomings brings us closer to the point where we can safely agree that 98% percent of the media we consume is hot garbage.

You got it:

Every time he opens his mouth he just makes a better case for voting to remove him. If there is more violence this weekend, there will be more blood on his hands, and on the hands of his enablers and normalizers.

They don’t want a trial in the Senate because they would have to go on record as to whether to convict or acquit him a second time. They’re only worried about their miserable skins.

The wing nut conspiracy theories are starting to take on a Mad Lib quality. Like “(Democratic politician) conspired with (Foreign leader) to rig votes using (sophisticated technology) to steal the election. And George Soros.”

In other news, Sheldon Adelson has died.
