Man, I love a good battle of Musk Trolls and Fanboys.... let’s get it on!

I thought you were going to say add a tailgate -- which would make for quite a McLaren.

There was a novel written that fictionalized the development of the Pacer. No recollection of the author or title — I picked it up used in a bookstore in Ecuador on a trip — but it was clear that’s the car they were describing. In the book it was called the Far Star or Farstar, I believe.

No idea how these guys managed to go out of business.

I feel like this would have been more exciting in a Lincoln Town Car.

A $60k car with this much performance is going to have tuners lining up around the block to help you mod it. That’s long been the case with corvettes and I think will be more so with this one. I think this is going to bring more people into the fold — especially the performance minded. I mean, you’ve lost the leaf

The whole thing looks dangerous, but probably not much different from the car as delivered.

Can I get an “America, Fuck Yeah!”?

Strong

Hopefully they’ve budgeted for digital pressure gauges.

Man, pretty serious bro-fest.  Harris didn’t seem that comfortable with it and I can hardly blame him.  The two new hosts were nice enough, but I think they’ve gone in a bad direction.

And confirming that you gave a personal guarantee for the full amount.

Looking forward to running a sub-7 minute lap around the ‘ring in my electric Jetta.

Also, I was fine knowing where the engine was in the RSR (not where it belongs), but putting the exhaust ahead of the rear wheels in a 911 is just blasphemous.

Well, maybe Ugly Duckling was the wrong metaphor.  I agree that it really got overshadowed by the 355, which immediately made it look dated.  But now that they’ve all got some age it looks really great.  I also don’t mind the two tone w/ the black.

Yeah, the 348 has really come through its ugly duckling phase well.

The LeBaron GTS had a lot of power relative to peers. I’ll leave it at that. Iacocca was a great executive, and, more importantly in this context, a real car guy. Before the K-cars, he worked with mustangs and cougars. I’m a fan and I wish him well in whatever lies beyond.

Get off my lawn.
