That was pretty pathetic. I agree with the ultimate decision, but leaving it open like that didn’t make any sense. I wish they had decided for no penalty in the previous Vettel incident, too.  I certainly feel for Ferrari, though, being on the wrong side of two similar decisions so close together.

This is not a game of “who the fuck are you.”

No kidding. Both cars just offered so much performance and tuneability for the money.  They were the true pony cars of the decade and will both be future classics.  Such a shame that none of the current top rally cars haven’t made as big an impression here.

Pigeon and Rabbit? No way.

Is the world really overrun with Weissach package GT2s? This seems like the firstest of first world problems. Aside, perhaps, from all those plebes rebadging their G650s as G650ERs.

I hope they bring back the weirdly inscrutable HVAC controls.  Also, the windshield wiper controls scattered around the cockpit was a nice touch you just don’t get in modern cars.

Reminder: there is no such thing as too much fender flare.

Better enjoy it before Porsche comes back and takes everyone’s lunch money again.

Haha...yeah, not natural beauties.

Yeah, also a real classic!

I am indeed suggesting that. To be clear, I’m talking about the original tube frame Daytona Prototypes, not the current LMP2 based DPIs.

This is one of the all time greatest race cars. This is the opposite end of the spectrum from Daytona Prototype. If you don’t want more of this in racing, you are wrong.

It’s all fun and games until you try to leave your driveway.

That’s probably better than our Lincoln Mk Iv, which did not have a center seat belt, but did have armrests you could sit on.

Profile rules are definitely best when you end up with completely crazy race cars with the original cars visible underneath.  We don’t want show room stock racing, but we don’t want generic prototypes either.  This is perfect.

If your wildest dreams involve dying in an automobile accident you’re in luck.

Wow, forgot that one, but really liked it at the time.

A few comments, not all of which are consistent.

Tough crowd in here.  I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how he’s handled himself and how he’s driven.  I started off angry at Dale Coyne for embarrassing America by even giving him a shot.  I’m reluctantly warming up.
