Yup- the PetaPixel article says it was the A7s. Also the A7 is about $1200 vs $2500 for the A7s.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure this was shot on an A7s not an A7. That “s” is important as it’s the low light version. The A7 has about twice the pixels but the A7s has crazy low light with low noise capabilities.

I just tried it but OSX (10.10.3) will not recognize the ability to go to 60hz. It seems locked on 30hz no matter what I try. I’m researching how to force it.

Most of the office chains and electronics stores will take electronics and recycle them properly. I’ve dropped off computers, displays, printers and more at Best Buy with zero hassle. True, they don’t give you any money, but it’s better than a land fill.

I have one of those “old” Seiki 39” 4k displays and I love it. It calibrated to 98% of sRGB. I don’t care that it’s only a 30hz display as I am mostly doing graphics design work. (I don’t do much gaming). I got it almost two years ago for $400 delivered and I never want to go back.

Actually, I think you’ll find that there are a great many people that think the 100% figure is an “all the time” thing. Or, at the very least that it is an attainable state to be used when needed.
