Jackie Brown is Tarantino’s best because it’s based on a solid, well-structured novel by Elmore Leonard (who didn’t write many that weren’t). Much as I like and sometimes love QT’s other movies, Jackie Brown is the one I watch most and I wish to hell his final movie, if it is really that, would be another Leonard

I never saw the original show ever, but have read all the books a couple of times. They’re good - and it’s been long enough for a lot of people to not remember, or to never have known, that the first four novels were originally serialized in the SF Chronicle. We got a chapter a day and then eventually a book would

Trump also loves The Fountainhead

I misheard, and am at work on a littery horror novel. All the trash that people throw from their car windows becomes a big piece of sentient, vengeful garbage.

Someone should warn him that HGH won’t make you a dragon-man

I for one am glad he hasn’t finished the books yet. Gonna take a few thousand pages to get to Khaleesi’s marriage to Jack Sparrow, but I think Martin can do it.

Dubby can’t be Drax’s daughter.

Why has Arthur been in Third Grade for 20 years?

We obviously don’t know anything about what will happen in the fourth movie

Yeah, but NOS4A2 is based on a Joe Hill book that... wasn’t as interesting as it should have been.  My opinion only I’m sure, but I wish it had been better.

a time jump to the 1970s, the Abbey is now owned by a drugged-up rock star

Gillan and Bautista?  Okay, I’ll see it.  It looks like Marvel stars enjoy hanging out on other movies. This one, Wind River (Renner and Olsen) Heart of the Sea (Holland and Hemsworth) Chef (Downey, Johannson and Favreau).  There are more, probably several more, but those are off the top of my head.

I think John Waters is awesome, yet I don’t think I’ve actually seen any of his movies.

Or since when do rats marry aardvarks?

Good one, Will, as usual.  I commend you for the questions about Studi playing characters with different tribal heritage from his own.  I have some friends in a Native American theatre group and it does come up sometimes.  Still - I guess they’ve come a long way since Hollywood just basically hired white actors with

Did I miss something? Looks like it’s been a day and no one mentioned the only hologram worth seeing. So I’ll do it.

—and now I want a Harper Lee hologram, reading Mockingbird by Walter Tevis.

I’ll probably watch this anyway, but... no danger of doing that any time soon since I don’t have Hulu. Kind of a disappointing review — but hell. Good cast, great source material.

The AV Club wouldn’t be deliberately misleading us, would they

The original book actually made it quite clear he was an aardvark
