I’m not super political, but I do want everyone to know who I stand with on this.

At least he beat the Monday traffic?
Wow, I hadn’t been paying that much attention to the hype about the movie, but it’s clear just from these pictures that The Joker will be one of Joaquin Phoenix’s best performances.
More like Matthew sweets, amirite?
This made me a believer. I don’t think this is the same performance I saw, but she did this opening for Don Henley in Dallas in the summer of ’91 and...yikes.
OK, sure. But still, in her prime: Susanna Hoffs.
Donald Trump: /releases transcript of Okeke’s contract negotiations.
Depends on who retires his year, honestly. I don’t think he has much of a chance 10 years from now if he’s on his third or fourth ballot. It’s a solid career, but outside of being the Finals MVP that one time, it really is role player stuff after starring on some ho-hum Philly teams. Rodman won seven rebounding titles…

Why do you think the Raiders cut him?
It makes sense even outside my head. Given the scenario described in the post to which I responded (that you can be fired for dress code violations), an employer can not “investigate” that by hauling someone else in for questioning. There’s no mechanism that provides an employer any authority to do that.

That’s true, but your employer has no recourse to call your wife in to ask her why she can’t dress you professionally. I just don’t get why she’s meeting with the NFL, especially given the league’s sketchy history with this kind of thing.
No, I’m saying the opposite: No action should be taken against Brown until a judgment is reached. And I was originally asking why the NFL gets to bring a plaintiff for a non-football matter into their “investigation,” which has no bearing on her case, and is moving at a more accelerated pace than the actual legal…
His contract has nothing to do with the legal judgment. Until that’s been rendered, how is it not premature for the league to punish him at all? And based on your scenario, do you think this investigation should be over by week 5, week 8? I don’t know enough about the performance triggers in his deal, but what you’re…
Maybe the league should base its discipline on the legal judgment once it’s rendered.
Yes! The boxes at Costco are much bigger, of course, so now you can get an Oakland Raiders helmet in every box. Don’t try to play in a game with it, though. It’s one of the old designs. :(
So a judgment against him would be meaningless to the NFL?
