It’s not that great for most veterans. I mean, for routine care, it’s as good as most anything. But if McCain just had that and not also what he gets as a senator (or what he can afford out-of-pocket), he’d already be dead.

There’s no question Ike was the best administrator in that office of the modern era. I’d argue he was the best president since the other Roosevelt and nobody’s come close since.

Oh yeah, what this guy really wants is to be a free man. Prison is going to be so much worse for him than, say, running to the store.

Scandinavia, though, has had universal health care for half a century or more. We can’t just jump into that space without devaluing the entire industry, from doctors to insurance to technological innovation to supply chains. That is not more important than peoples’ health, but it is also not suddenly going to make us

I greatly enjoyed the Ric Flair and Andre documentaries, but Andre felt much more like a movie, while Ric’s was a really expensive shoot interview.

He’s one of the best. It’s never that clear-cut when they inherit a shitload of talent.

A medio-core.

With his durability concerns entering his year 30 season, I would imagine he’s going to do less rebounding than more, which is a shame because he was one of the best in the league at it, and he’s the best outlet passer in a long, long time. I just don’t think he can afford to be in the paint very much any longer.

“Good crowd!”

“Buckeye football is no place for that kind of crap, Smith. What do you think this is, the wrestling team?”

Remember when Dirk was all fat and had those hormone injections that kind of made him look like a child’s drawing of Godzilla? We all responded to Y2K differently...you really had to be there.

Alright, that does it: I’m getting a Phillips OneBlade the next time it’s a Kinja deal.

Somehow they won 27 games last year. Somehow that’s worse than the previous year, which somehow was worse than the previous year.

Didn’t John Schnatter just...you know...

You guessed it...

OK, but I’m still owed an apology for Groundskeeper Willie.

I think this is a pretty unfair attack by you guys. For one thing, Trent Dilfer’s an idiot.

Kanter had one year left and he’s a worse defender than Melo (though a much better offensive game for what their needs were last season). I honestly don’t know how many teams would have traded for Kanter after his 2017 playoffs, so getting anything back on his expiring contract was worth the risk. And...it just didn’t

Not exactly, because when he gets defensive rebounds and starts the break, their offensive efficiency is preposterous. It’s like a 126 points per 100 possessions or something. So that actually makes sense. But pretty much everything in the half-court...yes.

Yeah, again, if they couldn’t have traded Melo (and there were few places left), they would have already been sucking on a $9 million salary plus the repeater tax for stretching the contract. So at least now they’re getting something in return while being $15 million over for the same window. That’s probably a
