Russ was right at first; they were playing ball-side, as you said, to deny the lob. So the lob is denied when Harris buries himself in the corner. But he’s still got to watch his man. Russ’s tendency is to drift on defense in hopes of making a play on the ball. That’s part of their strategy, because his defense leads…

Yeah, the inbound...I thought you couldn’t move laterally on side-outs. His left foot starts inside the free throw line extended and by the time of the pass, his right foot is outside of it. So that could have been something, too. I presume that’s still a rule, but I don’t know for sure.

How is that not an offensive foul on Chandler before the inbound? Shouldn’t matter in a game they were leading by 20 with about 14 minutes to go, but man. It also shouldn’t matter because Russ should be guarding a human being there before the pick.
