The government should do what is good for the community as a whole which would be to modify zoning to allow higher density mixed use development. When land is valuable you need to maximize what you put on it. Wasting it on single family homes hurts the community and creates less tax revenue.

Why would I look at the non Turbo version of the Veloster?

When my warranty is up next year on my current car I want to do some mild modifications to it like new exhaust and downsize the wheels to 17 inch. I am avoiding getting a new car because I already learned the hardway that a car payment can hang around your neck.

Google and Facebook did not create vehicles that were producing 40 times the nitrogen oxide that was legally allowed in the US. My 228i has 13k miles on it and it is a three year old car so I will probably still be driving it for a while until it hits 8-10 years or 100k miles and everything starts breaking on it

I like driving on back roads. I do not like siting in traffic on Interstate Highways and Toll Roads. Other developed countries like Germany have intercity passenger rail and highways. We in America treat it like a one or the other type deal.

San Francisco/Bay Area liberals are prime example of the people that block denser housing for BS. Usually they are boomer aged liberals that for some reason think all development is bad even though we are living in a major affordable apartment/housing shortage in many parts of the US. We need to increase the supply

After conservatives have fought and defunded many public transit and intercity rail transit projects I guess the joke is on us since we could have built alternatives but did not. Liberal NIMBYs that fight apartment construction are a part of the problem too.

Why should I give money to a company that committed fraud and the management promoted it for years on end.

I drove a 6 speed turbo model of outgoing model and I was surprised it actually had some power. The newer Hyundai’s seem even better so I bet I would like the new one one more.

Yeah I have just lost faith in VW somewhat because of their corporate culture thought it was okay to cheat on diesel emissions for years in the US and they still pretty much get away with it in Europe currently. Also I am worried bout depreciation because if a another VW scandal hits I could easily be underwater on a

It is a 3 door hot hatchback for Hyundai. It is good that it exists.

How is the Turbo model with the 7 speed DCT? I do not feel like I could go back to VW because of diesel gate and would still like a sporty hatchback.

I actually like LMOE a lot. Why would Fox do this and have the show end on a huge Cliffhanger. Hopefully Netflix or Hulu takes over so they can get another season to actually conclude it.

I was looking on Auto trader and you can get a certified pre-owned 228i for $20k-$25k with better performance stock. Subaru really should have supercharged or turbocharged the BRZ from factory for a top of the line performance version of the car.

I will own my car for a while so the depreciation in the end will not matter as much. I am surprised that the 228i did not have the sunroof delete option on a well equipped car. I also wish the made an M-performance exhaust since they do make one for the 428i which sounded nice. But I will probably get a Dinan

Yet most likely history will repeat itself and the 911 will outsell it. Porsche has also improved the interior of the 911 so it does feel more luxurious compared to the previous gen one. The 911 also has all the history behind it which the yuppie professionals that buy them new like. BMW does a great job with

It is hard to win customers back. That would be like saying if BMW kills off the 2 series, I should look at a X1 or X2. If I want a RWD coupe I would not be looking at FWD crossovers. Same with if I am looking at hatchbacks or sedans, an Escape or Edge are not the same thing. Once again I bet a lot of former Focus

The Accord is not selling well because Honda did not do a good lease deal like Toyota did for the new Camry. Civic sales are at an all time high in North America. I see brand new Civic sedans and hatchbacks all over my city. The Fusion still sold over 200k cars last year. Not everyone that bought a Fusion will by

So why can Toyota and Honda sell Civics, Corollas, Accords, and Camrys by the truck load still. Ford is pretty much saying that Toyota and Honda won and they give up. The Fiesta and Taurus made sense to end but not the Focus and Fusion.

3 years ago I did my job to support compact cars. More of Jalopnik needs to do the same. But I will probably keep My 228i for 8-10 years. I am having doubts BMW will replace it since the next gen 1 series hatch is going FWD and the current 2 series is on the same chassis as the current 1 series. If they replace it
