It will not be a gigantic seller but in New England I could see these doing well. Mercedes manages to make a business case for the E class wagon so there is a niche market of rich people who will buy them.

There are EV rebuilt old school cars that have manual transmissions in them.  So it is possible to have an EV with a manual.  I mean obviously it will not sound like a V8 but to say an EV cannot be made fun to drive is not true.

The challenge with building a platform that can handle both an ICE model and an EV model is that it becomes incredibly compromised and not optimized for either powertrain.  Mazda could offer a manual on the EV version since I have seen electrified old-school sports cars with that.  The current Miata is not selling

With many countries phasing out the sale of new gas-powered cars completely or making emission/fuel economy standards stricter, I see why Mazda is seeing the writing on the wall that they might have to do something radically different for the next Miata. If they could make a fun to drive EV 2 seater roadster with 150

I would rather have 1,500 jobs created without incentives and subsidies vs 25,000 that require billions of dollars worth tax breaks and subsidies.

At least the electric Mustang SUV has a RWD model.

India is electrifying their rail network and China is building out a massive high-speed rail system that is fully electric. For GHG emission per capita, Americans produce more GHG emissions than a Chinese or Indian person.

Greta is probably one of the biggest passenger rail activists out there has gotten mainstream media attention. Western Europe already has a massive conventional intercity passenger rail and high-speed rail network that is mostly electrified via overhead wire.  Switzerland’s rail network is nearly zero emission and is

There are a lot of new turbo charged sporty cars around that price range and most of them are limited sellers. What be the advantaged of a carbon fiber turbo expensive Miata if it would cost as much as a 718 Boxster or Supra?

If Mazda was to make a halo car for their brand again, I would hope it would be fully electric, some what light weight, and RWD. I mean we need to be honest with ourselves, the rotary engine is not really going to be able to come back in the way it was in the RX7. It would never meet current emissions and as gas

So even Nissan put an independent suspension in the new Sentra. How is Mazda getting a pass for cheapening the Mazda 3?

I would probably just take a R35 GTR at this point. I do not get the point of paying a premium for a rapidly aging car from 20-30 years ago. Especially if you had to put up with it as a daily driver.  Surprised that the shop does not just focus on selling R35 GTR’s instead.

The Nissan R32-R34 GTR has always been luxury car money when they were new. It was never an affordable car to begin with. The sports car market is a fraction of what it was in the US, 20 years ago.  So how would Nissan sell a large amount of a type of car people do not buy as much anymore.

The Civic and Corolla still sell well and not everyone has the resources or wants a crossover.  If the next generations are more price conscious then a cheap subcompact and compact sedan would be the way to go.

Most people were still going out to buy Nissan’s bread and butter cars back in the day and the Skyline GT-R and 300ZX were more of a rich men toys. With the Civic and Corolla still selling well in America, there is a market for cheap and reliable economy sedans and hatches.  Nissan should make sure the next gen

The 300ZX and the Skyline GTR’s were built for rich boomers. Nissan should focus on pushing the new Versa and redesign the Sentra which are cars people in their 20's and 30's might be able to afford.

Out of the launch MK8 Golf models, the 128hp or 148hp eTSI ones would be the only models that would really interest me. Since the regular Golf is most likely DOA in America for the time being, I would really have no-reason to get a VW product at this point. I am one of the few people that actually went out and

I think the major elephant in the room is that electric vehicles and electric autonomous vehicles are not really end all solution to fight climate change and it does not fix how wasteful we are with land-use in America. Per Capita American pollute more GHG compared to people in other developed countries. It is not

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phase-out_of_fossil_fuel_vehicles  2025 will be here sooner than you think.  The US is not the only car market on Earth and even in the US certain states and cities want to phase out the sale of gas powered vehicles.  So if Mercedes wants to sell their AMG cars globally they will have to
