Toyota needs to be careful to not price it into the M2’s price range because it would be a tough sell over getting a M2.

That is not a suburb. That is a rural farm area. My definition of suburbs is an area with 1 or 2 houses per acre, 4-6+ lane roads, single use zoning, home owners associations, little to no public transit, big box stores, and office parks. I am fine with actual rural areas with farms. We would not have food without

The top picture is a traditional former streetcar suburb. It has sidewalks, narrow streets with street parking, and has a good mix of single and multifamily homes. The picture on the bottom is a generic exurban Florida suburb with no infrastructure, public transit or jobs near by. I like traditional small towns

I believe we need to remove zoning and parking restrictions and build more dense housing in city centers. The problem is single family residential zoning has locked many people out of the market that either cannot afford or do not want a single family home. Getting an apartment approved in my city is like pulling

A lot of former streetcar suburbs and first ring suburbs have single family homes but are still near the city center. Suburbs built post 1970 usually were built far out into the country on cheap agriculture land miles away from anything. It is possible to have an area with a mixture of single and multifamily homes

Wow what a wonderful place with no sidewalks, has septic tanks, no transit, no restaurants or retail nearby, and no jobs. I guess my 10 year old apartment in a college town is the real shit hole. Many suburbs especially one built out in the middle of nowhere now in US are starting resemble third world countries. We

Streetcars and light-rail are more or less permanent investments. Because bus routes are not cities can just cut them when they want to with no repercussions. Also when has anyone ever invested in development around a bus stop. Streetcars and Light-rail promote infill development to create density.

Buses are a horrible excuse for transit. GM knew this and it convinced more people to drive. Public transit in the rest of the world is seen as a public good. Also the highway trust fund in this country is broke so it is not like roads pay for themselves. https://www.cbo.gov/publication/52307

Newer BMW’s allow you to check to see if their are any error messages or when the car needs to be serviced through the iDrive system.

Now playing

I think the US government promoting suburban sprawl and subsidizing new construction single family homes also did streetcars and most downtown areas in America also. GM also got in trouble in court for being connected with National City Lines. Buses are inferior in every way to electric powered streetcars and that

Yet streetcars can carry more people than buses and produce less pollution than buses especially if the overhead wires are powered by renewable energy. The US government, GM, big oil etc. royally screwed this country over by dismantling our transit and promoting suburban sprawl.

The SS still exists so why do you care that their is a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder model below it? Chevy has always had smaller engine Camaro’s that are the volume sellers.

Really nothing better than a turbo inline 6 and it has an optional manual transmission on both RWD and AWD models.

I drove a M2 vs a M3 and M4 at the BMW performance center and I liked the M2 better. It felt more compact and handled like it was on rails. I liked how it was like the size of the E46 M3. The M3 and M4 are like E39 5 series size and the previous E92 M3 was too heavy. I am not a race car driver or a car journalist so

Even on a back road the M2 is a lot more enjoyable to drive. Much more stable at higher speeds through corners. Yeah the M Divisions’s DCT is a lot better than the ZF 8 speed automatic. It shifts much harder and faster and it does not try to upshift like the automatic does as a fail safe. For not much more you get

On paper the M240i might offer 8/10th of the performance of the standard M2 but if you drove both back to back you would see why the M2 is the better car. Standard limited slip differential, engine receives forged pistons, a forged crankshaft, upgrade oil cooling, wide body that can fit much wider wheels and tires,

I sat in a C6 Corvette and it felt giant. I have not driven a C5 one yet.

The Corvette is the car I wish I could properly fit in but being 5 foot 5 inches it makes me feel like a little kid sitting in a big car. The only American sporty car I fit in is the Mustang.
