Yes it was a crysler product that they have since gotten rid of. For a while I had to supply proof of ownership and registration to use it. They ditched that requirement, BUT will not cover something if you were one mile over the recommended service for that system.

It may be that the lake is freshwater and uphill from the ocean and gravity was cheaper than pumping salt water uphill and then the salt messing with the ecosystem. that is just a guess.
