Hold on. Hennessey makes a huge claim to the motoring world, no one treats it with any real skepticism or scrutiny. We take the time to really question what he said and do the research.

Me. I’m very clear that I’m not James Bond. I am a punter that saved up enough scratch to buy a V12 Aston, though, so I’ve got that going for me.
Compared to the DB10, the front end of the Vantage looks poorly executed. Front end sucks, but the rest of the car is gold.
“James Bond movies haven’t been very memorable since Austin Powers forced the franchise to evolve into generic action flicks.”
It’s not like the 720S is just a drag only machine either...I think the comparison is valid.
I think a lot of my difficulty with riding while drunk is how poorly most people drive. A modern autonomous vehicle will probably be much smoother than my buddy pushing 120 in a 45 and trying to dart in-and-out between passing semi’s.
a car’s measured quickness shouldn’t be ingored though.
Er, um... what about the New Tesla Roadster? Did anybody get their hands on it, and measure those numbers? I don’t want rumors, but I’d like those verified. The 720s is almost on the same price tag of the Tesla.
The deadly spikes.
Johnny Bohmer ran 292 in a Ford GT on what appears to be a similar tire (and others have been in the 280s already). Less weight, less torque required (due to improved aero), and less downforce required (once again...better aero) will lower overall loads and would suggest to me that Hennessey will likely go out and hit…
“Prior to any speed run, we validate the tires though analytical analysis”
“. . .we validate the tires though analytical analysis. . .”
What about the possibility of a high speed application of the airless tires (twheel) or whatever its called?
This is the most self defeating bullshit I have ever seen.
Eat a dick, hatebag.
I agree, she was probably at fault (I don’t have any more information about the streets, speed limits, etc than you do)...
But its also fair to say that the accident was possibly preventable if the other drive had not been distracted. His distraction prevented him from making adjustments, but you are correct that her…
“Worst case scenario” someone you think you’re better than starves to death in the gutter, because in most of this country not having a car means not having a job or any method of reaching food or medical care. How about you buy a bike and donate whatever hunk o’ steel has the misfortune of hauling your fat unwashed…
I agree with you that driving is not a right, but it gets very difficult when a significant portion of the country is designed around the existence of the car.
I think more frequent and more difficult testing should be required.
Also, cops who police things other than speeding.
