We aren’t quite sure how all of these elements come together in Jojo Rabbit

The point is, and I said it somewhere else: bad cops think Punisher is cool because he shoots bad guys. There are probably more cops walking around that were inspired to join the force because of the Punisher than because of Andy Griffith, Serpico, and Terry Crews on B99 combined.

I mean, they didn’t have any trouble doing it with the Fantastic Four. And that was for MUCH pettier reasons. Garth has already been paid.

If the President is a racist, he is unfit for the role, and should be removed. We citizens have very little power to do that, and we feel fine calling him what he is. The more power people have in that regard, you’ll notice the more squeamish they are about saying the word “racist.” The media holds tremendous sway.…

Me: I neither know nor care about anyone who has been cast in the live-action Little Mermaid reboot, which is a silly idea anyway.

You know that. I know that. We’re not dumb. We’re not cops.

Like you said, cops don’t read. All they know is: The Punisher is cool because he kills bad guys with guns. You can make him as dark and complex as you want, but that’s still the core appeal. And cops will continue to look up to him until that formula changes, or Marvel cancels his titles and pulls his all his merch.

It’s Marvel. Everyone’s been killed a couple times. Last I saw, he was Spacce-Ghost-Rider, zooming around space with Thanos, being all superpowered and immortal. Some punishment.

I would definitely like to see cops put Pennywise on the hoods of their cars.
