I’m surprised to see the wheels are solid machined aluminum, I would have thought it would be better to go with a wheel design similar to the below image. It seems like that would be more durable, flexible, and lighter than the design they chose...but what do I know...I’m no NASA rocket scientist.
Sounds like a good solution for a solar powered house or someone who want’s to live off the grid. As for the power outage use case ... seems like a pretty expensive replacement to a generator. I’d love to see the power companies or government subsidize these things and make them standards seeing as how they are…

For exploding watermelon glory, fill it with molten aluminium and plug the hole....
I like the 2 years and 2 weeks rule...but a weekend vacation every 2 months?? That seems a bit much to me.
Ehhh...I guess it works ok if you don’t use cash and login to classify any unknown purchases weekly/monthly.
I remember working at Wendy’s when I was a in my late teens. 36 hours weeks, Bi-Weekly paycheck take home was a tad over $320. It sucked, it was uncomfortable, and it was mindless. You know what I did...GOT AN EDUCATION AND A NEW JOB!!!!! You want these people to price themselves right out of a damn position? Walmart…

C25K worked for me. Went from no running to a 4 hr full marathon in about 1 year 4 mos.
As you mentioned...idiots. Everybody needs to have proper OFFLINE backups to combat ransomware. Dropbox, NAS, External HD...all susceptible to Crytpolocker if they are connected when the virus hits. You NEED to have offline storage as a last ditch effort. Get an external drive, copy all files to it monthly and throw…
I would imaging the saltwater destroys a lot of parts they could otherwise reuse....but that’s just a guess.
If at first you don’t succeed, throw money at it till you fix it.
Don’t like Jamie...you added that to Google maps so you could post this article, didn’t you!? ;-)
I got halfway through typing a response and realized I simply don't give a fuck.
Once you put something in a garbage can and leave it at the curb it is considered public property with no expectation of privacy...so that among many other aspects of U.S. v. Redmon are differentiators between your garbage can and the demolition site of a city owned property.

I will never pay a subscription for someone to store my passwords when Keepass and Dropbox are free. Call me cheap, IDC.
"Legally, if you throw something in the garbage, you lose your claim to it. If I rummage through your garbage and find something I want, I can keep it. You would lose if you tried to sue for it." The difference is the garbage is on public property, not private property.
College newb impressing college newbs.
I didn’t see this mentioned in this article or the source. Painting eggs with acrylic paint renders the egg poisonous. So, while pretty, they are inedible.
Here's the thing. When 56K was the standard, the Internet was optimized for that speed. This experiment is like throwing a lawn mower engine in a MAC truck when back in 98 it would have been like having a lawn mower engine in a Ford Fiesta. My point is, while it was frustrating, it's not nearly as frustrating then…
