It’s not a great metaphor but it’s pretty hard to argue that a 30% cut on any and all purchases through the platform is pretty exorbitant. There’s an argument to be made for the cut of the app itself, as there’s at least the overhead of hosting it and providing all of the infrastructure for deploying and maintaining

I think they did a much a better job at cooling this gen than last gen. Both my PS3 and 360 burned up due to heating issues, towards the end they sounded like jet engines. My PS4 Pro and Xbox One X are pretty much whisper quiet and I can occasionally hear the fans rev up. My launch Xbox One almost makes no noise at

The Shadowbringers story, 5.0 - 5.3, is the single best Final Fantasy story ever told. By miles. It’s close to one of the best game stories period, and might be my top pick were it not for games like the Witcher 3 or Nier: Automata. The writing is stellar, the voice acting has never been better, Emet-Sech and Elidibus

where are the poor and working class expected to live?”

“They want safety & are thrilled that I ended the long-running program where low-income housing would invade their neighborhood.”

This is, perhaps, true. But middle-managers and QA Supervisors (to name some slots at random) aren’t being compensated millions of dollars in base pay plus bonuses.

If a you take a competent software engineer and a competent VP of Marketing, let’s say. For argument we’ll say that they possess the same degree of

Say one thing for athletes, at least there are useful metrics to gauge their performance. You might not think a guy who hits 30 home runs is worth a $20 million salary, but at least it’s verifiable he is responsible for all those homers. If a game gets stellar reviews that drive sales, how responsible is the CFO for

Part of the problem is that the executive’s goal isn’t always the long term success of the company or its employees and, sometimes, it never is.

The top ten EA investors(all giant investment firms) own a combined 108 million shares. Regular people own a tiny portion of EA’s shares. As much as I’d like to see us little people making an impact, these votes don’t come from people logging into their Robinhood account.

The OP is just parroting misleading Fox News and Federalist talking points.  Harris said she believed the accusers who came out last year, i.e. the various women who described Biden as having been, for lack of a better term, inappropriately affectionate with them.  As far as I can tell, Biden never specifically denied

Remember that a vote is a share, not a person. A major investor could represent tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of votes by themselves.

It only matters when a disingenuous reply can ignore Trump’s 17 different accusers of sexual assault and harassments while attacking Harris and Biden on an article about Bill f’kin Cosby.

Kinda like with Bobby Kotick and Activision shareholders, this story loses a lot of good will when you realize that the shareholders here are really only asking, “Why is all this money going to executives, when it should be going to us?

Spot on. I’ve seen this time and time again. New exec comes, the first thing they do is “restructure” because the old way was simply not working. Midst the chaos, knowledge is lost, layoffs (“making the company lean), any dip is then explained by workers “adjusting to their new roles” which weren’t an issue before.

Seriously, this is finally being addressed. Every dollar wasted on massive failures like Anthem should be addressed at executives and not even Bioware management, for being forced to make a 3rd person action RPG on a first person shooter engine. There are as many losses attributed to these people as much as successes

Without Halo Infinite near launch, the only thing that’s got me somewhat excited is that Destiny will take advantage of the faster CPU and SSD for shorter load times. Without a price, though, I’m still not sure how to budget for the console; if it’s more than $700 Canadian, then upgrading my current gaming rig’s CPU

To be fair, this is generally the tune at every major console launch ever. No matter how much these companies want to, they almost never manage to release a new console with a major title. It’s a shame too, since that would undoubtedly garner a lot of early buyers.

Yep, it’s called Deadspin. It’s a ghost town where men yell into the void and never receive a response.
