Xbox One got releases for both KI1 and KI2.

If your intent here was not to convince everyone that you want to fuck Mr. Beast or have him fuck you, then you failed miserably.

Tell me you’ve never worked in dev/QA without outright stating so.

It’s still the drizzling shits, man, sorry. Same with the Michael Andrews & Gary Jules cover of ‘Mad World’, Nonpoint’s cover of ‘In The Air Tonight’, Falling in Reverse’s cover of ‘Last Resort’, or anything covered by Five Finger Death Punch.

All fall under the same umbrella: self-important, overly serious covers that

They also sold us games at full price back then that had maybe 30 minutes of play time to them.

Sure, it may have been feature complete, but I wouldn’t say it was better for it.

It’s all to save some bucks per physical unit. They get to say they put out a physical copy, but also benefit from spending less money on smaller capacity Switch game cards.

Exactly this. Many contractors do the exact same job as an RFT employee, but with less pay & little to no benefits. And I’ve been in situations as a contractor where there is no stated end to how long you’ll be there. So, there’s a chance to be perpetually stuck in that cycle for a while.

The Drill hat is giving me strong Devo vibes.

The small Mario in New Super Mario Bros. had the same thing going on. Still looks odd to me, but I’ve gotten used to it over time.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer added that every quality assurance tester “in our entire company” is currently playing the game and reviewing issues with a couple months still to go before release.

Hayter will always be Solid Snake to me. But, after story revelations in MGS4, it never made sense to have him still be Big Boss in Peace Walker and beyond. Even MGS3 doesn’t make sense in hindsight, but if I’ve learned anything over the years, it’s that Metal Gear is a nebulous, strange thing.

“I am not like other CEOs that are anti-union,” says Activision Blizzard CEO Kotick. “I have a mother who was a teacher. I have no aversion to a union. What I do have an aversion to is a union that doesn’t play by the rules.”

This coming from an ultra-rich walking nutsack is both hilarious and infuriating.

I have a bunch of small boxes I need to part ways with. Boxes for systems, though? Absolutely not. If I’m not using them, they get packed up into those for safe-keeping.

WWE 2K18 on Switch is still, by far, the worst thing I ever had to work on in QA. That was a perfect storm of a bloated engine being ported to a less-powerful system by a team who wasn’t the main developer.

It started bad, got slightly better after a couple months, then never got much further than that. 2K were so

Despite the quality a lot of the time, I think it still sells well enough for WWE/2K to ignore most issues.

It was tested and lots of bugs would have been written. I can guarantee you that. But, there’s a difference between writing bugs, and them being fixed. If someone high up decides polish isn’t a priority, then the QA team can only do so much.

How do you get through the day while licking so much fucking boot?

In this case, it will be a default roster character (included and tested with the base game code) being locked behind a paywall or pre-order. I believe it was the same way for Goro and Shao Kahn in the past couple of games, but I may be wrong.

WWE 2K games have done that in the past, with stuff like Goldberg, or Arnie

You’ve clearly never had to do QA on PC releases. You can use it as the lead platform AND run builds on multiple configs, yet still release with bugs you didn’t encounter. It sucks, but it happens.

The amount of snark & mean-spiritedness in this article just makes my skin crawl. Sheesh.
