Wow, was really considering an Indian as my next bike. They got you another one and didn’t get mad at you? Glad you’re ok, definitely because I love your writing. I’m looking forward to the review. If they treat journalists this well, I’d love to be their customer.

I figured as much. Well glad this website has instilled such a tradition that we hear about it. It is nice to be reminded that you’re human sometimes :)

Non-riders think you’re being an attention seeking try hard and certain motorcycle riders will think you’re a pussy.

I don’t get people that make fun of the fully-protected riders. Sure, the full motogp-esque leathers might be kinda goofy looking, but they’re good for keeping you alive!

Just when I am fed up with jalopnik comments and want to back away I read this kind of honest direct journalism and i keep coming back. Glad you are ok!

I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard about shiny expensive metal getting written off by members of the industry and then it just never gets written about or disclosed.

It happens with more regularity than you might think, Jalopnik certainly isn’t alone in this, but we’re the only ones willing to tell the world

Is confessing your sin’s against press loaner standard in the industry? I really don’t read much else other than Jalopnik.

Ah, I missed that. I joined the squad in November of 2017, so somehow it blew right past me.

And props for it, but still

I promise I didn’t shit myself. I will stand before a court of my peers, hand on bible, and swear to that under penalty of perjury.

Glad you’re okay.

I’d love to wag my finger and make a clever comment about “learn how to trail brake” or something, but after three decades of riding, I went down hard for the first time just two months ago. And, like you, it was entirely my fault. I was riding a new-to-me bike, driving too fast, hovering too close, and didn’t know

Orlove wrecked a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth in August 2017.

Yeah, they put me on another bike and I finished the day. I was a little stiff, but took it easy and made it back no worse for wear.

Glad you’re OK and thanks for sharing this as a reminder.

I’ve been on that Tortilla Flat road (called by locals Tortilla Flats so many times I’ve stopped bothering to count) about six dozen times now. A few of my friends know it better than the layout of their own homes blindfolded. It’s claimed quite a few victims in my day for its tricky curves and blind corners and it

Sounds like a classic mistake. You likely could have made the corner had you leaned it over more. Instead you stood it up and crashed.

It has been a lot of years since we crashed anything. At least we put it out in the open and own up to it instead of covering it up and pretending it didn’t happen.

The guys at Indian are right. The bike can be rebuilt or replaced. You cant. Let this be a lesson to everyone that wearing saftey gear saves lives. And glad your okay Bradley.

It’s like you write for Jalopnik or something...
