The most easily explained reason for logos to be flat and one color is so that they can reproduced in all media, everything from smartphones, to chrome badges, to the cheapest possible single color printing. If your logo is a well rendered drawing of a 3D shape its ability to be reproduced accurately is reduced.

Safety features are part of what makes me feel more okay dailying my Falcon. Not that it’s 1/5 as safe as a modern car, but 1968 was the first year for a collapsible steering column, shoulder belts standard, dual reservoir master cylinder, and a fully padded dashboard.

My screen name, haha. Owned it since I was 16.

If it was on its own I would think it was cooler. But its the exact same formula he’s been applying to cars for years now. So at this point I’d rather he just left it alone so it felt more unique.

Whenever I drive modern cars I’m always struck by the crazy amount of lag they all seem to have in throttle inputs. Floor it and you have to wait for them to start accelerating, let off and you have to wait for them to start decelerating. Whereas in my Falcon if I suddenly let my foot off the gas, my passenger needs

My girlfriend has a Crosstrek, and I swear it accelerates even slower on the highway than my Falcon with a small straight 6, 3 speed manual and no overdrive. The lack of torque makes acceleration feel like you’re gaining momentum by rolling downhill. I like the rest of the car though.

The thing about graphics or the visual appearance of a thing is that they’re usually a pretty accurate gauge of the amount of effort that went into the rest of the product as well. If the pumps had a beautiful user interface the rest of the problems you have with them likely also wouldn’t exist because the company

This is the correct takeaway here. If something looks low effort, it probably is low effort. It’s not like the rest of the machine is going to be awesome if the entire company couldn’t even be bothered to hire an illustrator and graphic designer / UX designer to finish their interface.

You may want to consult your doctor about your inability to stop reading things you find boring.

That would’ve been much more interesting to me. What irks me is that his approach to every car is exactly the same, there’s no respect for the personality and design of the car beyond the bodywork.

I see no problem in remembering things like this for a long time. 5 years ago I had a horrible interaction with the legitimately insane owners of a business that involved them harassing myself and people close to me, and then finding my phone number online and calling me at 9:30 PM to scream that they were going to

The novelty of ICON’s builds has worn off for me now. Yet another super clean and rare vintage car with an LS swap, woohoo. Hudsons are famous and relatively rare, I’d rather own a 1949 Hudson that drives like a 1949 Hudson than one that drives exactly the same as every other derelict they’ve done.

I starred your comment for the pretty cars. I have no idea what point you’re trying to make.
