When I was a kid a rode (and rolled) one.

Your regressive theory of trickle down traffic control proves my point. Let them eat MetroCards. The rich can afford premium pricing and will love any ease in congestion.

Regressive is forcing everyone into massive traffic jams, losing hundreds of hours of time.

Congestion pricing is a regressive tax. Rich assholes will take full advantage of the working poor who are forced to abandon their vehicles or shoulder another financial burden.

They sold a whopping four cars per day!

The ingredients for the kind of person we know this guy probably is are all here: Lives in Phoenix- the Florida of the west. Check. Chevy Silverado in the garage. Check. Making lame comments about it not being made in China, which is just plain stupid. I’d bet money this is a generic, trump-supportin’ white dude who

Jeep is a rolling mechanical, corrosion, and electrical disaster at the moment.

The Xterra still has a strong following with numerous active forums and FB groups. While utilitarian and very capable off-road, it never caught on with the overlanding crowd due to its limited cargo capacity (relative to other offerings) and the supercharged version was thirsty without adding significant power. For a pedophile drug addict, Gaetz sure does like to keep his name in the news.

Jesus Christ. Extremism has been a known and largely ignored problem in our armed forces for decades. It’s only going to get worse under Shitler.

Possible connection - both are products of the same catastrophically inequitable society which is crumbling before our eyes?

I’m actually a bit sad about the S60. It’s a handsome sedan, and that’s becoming a very rare thing these days (both the sedan part, and the handsome part). The T8 was a bit of a dark horse with its 455 hp and 40 mile EV range. Not cheap mind you, nor the most nimble, but competent and comfortable. Since Polestar spun

In LA at least, the trains are great for getting you from the surrounding area INTO LA. Once you get there, you’re still stuck walking, biking, or taking a bus/taxi/uber to your final destination. My coworkers in LA and Sacramento have been taking electric scooters onto the trains so they can zip around once they get

This is what I do. I live in the Inland Empire in SoCal, so there are a lot of mountains that separate the different towns. That means there’s often only 1 freeway that goes through/near any particular city, and it makes for MASSIVE traffic bottlenecks. I’d rather spend an extra 5-10 minutes taking surface streets

Dumb question. US cities have a ton of sprawl. I grew up in DC and there are people that commute from 50+ miles away every day there and that’s not uncommon for US cities.

in areas with robust transit, they’re still slower than those other options

no problem with that, but please just let us cyclists do our thing. Share the road. There is no reason riding a bicycle should be terrifying.

I wish more office buildings had a shower. There is zero chance I’ll bike to my Houston office if there isn’t a shower I can use once I arrive.

I can get anywhere within Boston in less than 20-25 minutes, including Roslindale. By bike.

I’ve been biking to work in Denver for 20 years. Easily twice as fast and enjoyable as driving. I’m wealthier and healthier for it. Worse part? Effing drivers who are numb to the world and can’t wait to get where they are going so they can get out of their dumb cars (or massive trucks if you’re an insecure accountant)
