People can disagree with me here, but I legitimately feel that the Ferrari “ownership experience” is a good chunk paying for a badge. Honestly I feel like a good ~$50,000-$60,000 US of a new Ferrari’s purchase price is just for the ability of having the Ferrari brand on what you’re driving. The rest you’re paying for

Over 90 percent of all Ferraris ever produced are apparently still on the road  sitting in climate controlled garages.

Been riding several decades. All styles, types, and sizes of street and dirt bikes, and dualsports. Big ADV bikes are usually owned by middle age men who were below average dirt bikers as kids, and now they want to explore. The older they get the faster they were.

Thank you for clarifying.

The LAT & WP editorial boards did not “decline” to endorse Harris. The endorsements were already agreed upon, scheduled, and written. The billionaire owners of these newspapers forced them to pull the endorsements from the calendar a week before the election.

Trump was an openly corrupt president. That’s all the corrupt businessmen and criminals support him.

We all knew politics was rife with dirty money, but this is one of the first years that buying a candidate and an election has been so openly seen.

If Kamala Harris wins, is there room for Elon to come back and say, “Hey, let’s still work together in some capacity?”

The reason Musk is supporting Trump is the same reason many of the billionaire-owned newspapers (Bezos’ Washington Post, for example) declined to endorse Harris: Money.

The only thing actually gold about this car is the easily stolen bar. Everything else is plated; very low-rent, the guy that buys this probably has a gold-plated toilet to “class up the joint.”

Anyone who says Goldfinger is their favorite (or worst, the best) Bond movie is not someone I trust with Bond opinions. It’s a good film, and it’s rightfully iconic, but like so many of the earlier films it’s kind of a snooze for most of the runtime.

Somehow I think this story ends with Musk in prison.

At least this sort of hedonistic display of wealth I can accept. It beats buying a newspaper and then overriding the editorial boards...

All it takes to win Trump over is fawning and bribes.

It’s very safe to say at this point, knowing all the shit that’s come out with this guy over the last few months, if you buy a Tesla, you are the problem.

He should immediately lose his security clearance and the SpaceX offices should be swept for bugs to make sure Putin doesn’t have any other ears in the company.  Then he should be given an ultimatum: completely divest from SpaceX, or else all their government contracts will be canceled.

I fully expect that if T wins, he will turn 180 on our alliances, and go into bed with the Soviets and North Koreans, while backing out of NATO.  Gunna quite literally be a whole new (terrible, very terrible) world.

Especially Space X, it ought to have everything grounded permanently unless he agrees to hand it over to the Government. He could still moan on twitter that he built it [he didn’t] every time he wanted to feel like he was still relevant.

A thousand percent agreed. It is insane to me that our government has helped this man weasel his way into “too big to fail” status for several of his companies, but particularly SpaceX.
