I know concept cars are supposed to be nuts, but sometimes I wonder if they were designed in the minds of anime junkies that take public transit everywhere they go.

I’m looking to buy a small city car and let me tell you, it is HARD to find fun colors. It seems that car brands are just not interested in offering much variety. Even Suzuki, which offered a bright blue for the Swift and a metallic orange for the Ignis is not doing so in 2021.

I’ve never bought a car new, so I don’t know, but what possesses people to buy a car in the exact same colour as everyone else? Read more

They’d rather have an Expedition or an Armada to haul around 2 kids and maybe a dog once in a while instead. Why get 25mpg when you can get 8?!

Normal sized people can fit in fine (maybe not so much the third row). Large sized Americans, probably not.

Tires are not something I cheap out on.  Used tires?  No thank you very much.

While some Civics are clearly driven one quarter mile at a time, this one was clearly driven one city block at a time. My guess is the majority of miles involved moving the car for the street sweeper, back and forth from parking zones, and to the DMV to get plates.

Too beat up for the price. Si’s are fantastic little cars, don’t get me wrong, but I expect better condition for a 20 year old car asking this kind of price. Read more

Honda’s little 125cc machines (with about 12 h.p.) will do 60 mph, so this thing shouldn’t have any problem going the speed limit on just about any road in the USA.  But if you’re riding the interstate on one of these, you’re doing it wrong.

Oof. Had a friend who had spent some time in an institution due to mental health issues. He killed himself with a gun he bought after getting out. Our gun control laws suck in this country (granted that was over a decade ago at this point.)

This would be a very different if the driver was anything other than a white woman.  I'd lay odds she doesn't get more than a slap on the wrist.

That depends, is it a honda? Is it a high mileage porsche that was driven lots but was maintained religiously? Is it a jaguar?

Car bodies usually hold out against rust ten times more than they once did, but the unseen underneath bits not so much.

In the case of the Miata, I’d absolutely want the ND2 for the extra horses and updated transmission.

I’d go with the older car with lower miles, mainly because the newer cars tend to have safety features I don’t want. Right now I’d rather have a 5 year old ND1 Miata than a brand new one.
