In that they both stand on stage and tell jokes they’re certainly interchangeable.

There’s, like, rapping and stuff too.
Me usually bristle at commenters attacking articles as clickbait, but this one was pretty stupid. “Hey, you may not have noticed this thing in Avengers that we all directly saw happen on screen and was talked about in movie.” It like saying “you’ll never believe what biblical relic Indiana Jones was looking for in Raid…
The thing of it is that Starlord’s actions are in character. This is the guy who got into a pissing contest with Rocket over who was the better pilot that ended up crashing their ship. He has demonstrated a very distinct lack of emotional maturity in the previous movies. Starlord isn’t a villain, he’s a flawed…
In my viewing on Saturday afternoon, there were two kids in the 6-8 range that were crying openly during the credits, and another sitting in front of me that was around 11 asking his parents if what he just saw really happened, and what happens now. Yeah, it upset some tykes, as would be expected.
They nailed it with Thanos, and I feel a bit sheepish for having doubted Marvel, but I just didn’t want another Ronan or Malekith.
I just have to say how impressed I was by Josh Brolin’s CGI performance. Perhaps the best I’ve ever seen of the type that I can remember.
Yeah, but most movies introduce their characters, then we learn their motivations over the natural course of the movie as they experience what the movie throws at them. That’s the very nature of storytelling.
Like the #2 A Quiet Place?
Why do they have to spend $150million on publicity? They could have spent one third of that and everyone on the planet would still know it was coming.
I dunno, a movie that pretty much requires you to see 18 movies before it and is a two and a half hour comic book frenzy with no explanation of previous events was kinda a gamble on Marvel’s part, at least it was when it was announced a few years back.
I went last night to see it in a sold out theater. Watching a movie ten years in the making with a bunch of other big fans was really cool. People lost their shit pretty much anytime a huge thing happened or certain characters came on screen. Everyone was dead silent at the end though. Great movie. I’ll see it again…
There’s a great interview of her on the Build channel on youtube, where she talks, amongst other things, about The Leftovers.
I miss that show so much.
It’s crazy that she’s never been on a late night show, considering her success.
Between Handmaid’s Tale and The Leftovers, I consider her a legend.
I heard this on the radio the other day for what must have been the first time (for me) and just immediately assumed it was a song I had heard a thousand times already. Which either means this is an extremely bland pop song that sounds like every other bland pop song, or this song has the supernatural power to create…
I’m pretty sure that song was originally done by Jimmy Eat World and I will fully ignore any evidence to the contrary because everything new is terrible.
It’s only in your head you feel left out.
“Klingon, motherfucker, do you speak it??”
Yes, because nobody blinks when opposite-sex romance, attraction or sexuality is public. It’s assumed to be normal or the default. And nobody is sharing details here — her saying she’s dated both men and women does not give you any particular bedroom details.
