Yes, my point was obviously that no one would ever get a raise again. You did it, you proved me wrong. I clearly meant the world was changing overnight.
Presumably you know how obvious it is that AI isn't "just a tool."
Yeah, that was the point I was getting at (in a roundabout way).
So, then, you got paid more this week?
Presumably, since you did a job that should have taken 40 hours in only 8, you just worked on Monday and took the rest of the week off?
Looks like Ryan Gosling is acting very much in his The Nice Guys range, and that’s always welcome.
In this interview, Elon claims over and over again his platform only takes down posts that break the law, yet the site has been blocking accounts simply for tweeting the real name of a Nazi cartoonist. I’m sure his argument would be that he’s stopping doxxing, but doxxing in itself isn’t illegal, and once the person’s…
Maybe go touch grass.
At this point, anyone who is publicly super into AI should probably just be put on a sex crime registry to save time.
I didn’t get a Community notification for this??
I suppose this was always the inevitable end of AV Club: just taking full articles from other sources and not even bothering to rewrite them as original content.
This fucking website.
That indeed would be a sensible solution. But it also would cost these companies money, and they haven't budgeted for that, so they’re throwing hissy fits.
I really hope this lawsuit (or one of the hundreds of others) is successful and sets a legal precedent that AI can only be trained on work that is explicitly licensed (and paid for). I suspect it may be too late to stop the inevitable tide of shit, but it would be some protection for artists.
Well put.
I’m glad this is getting good reviews, because the first trailer really dampened my enthusiasm. It made it look very glossy, with all the stars giving action movie-esque poses. Absolutely loved Band of Brothers, so now I’m hopeful that this will live up to that.
It would be pretty funny if all these legal issues ripple through reality television as a whole, and suddenly networks turn to more scripted shows because they’re now less expensive.
By "very, very progressive," you mean what exactly?
