This is hilarious—it happens to me, too!

Card-carrying paleontologist here. Short answer: not likely.
Ugh, RIP Lucasarts.
The cruise ship! WAT.
Thanks for posting a really useful link. There are some outstanding sites on there that were completely off my radar.
Shut up, take money, etc. I love that they're bringing this game back.
Absolutely.
I would pay for that DLC.
Powered by a hamster on a wheel, of course.
Buddy of mine got into the server room and snapped a picture.
Also, nice job choosing an image to go with the article.
Wow, thanks for replying, Kirk. Great job keeping on top of this story. Both my fiancee and I were going to buy the game (she's a SimCity addict currently in recovery but looking to relapse) but now we're not so sure. Certainly won't be buying it soon!
Given the broad audience for the game, my guess is the problem will only get worse by the weekend unless they do things like this or get servers up ASAP. Weekend time is often gaming time, after all.
I'm convinced that the poster you are responding to was just doing a little "concern trolling" but this is a very well written response. Even if they never read it or respond, thanks for elevating the discussion.
Weekend plans: Hidden Fortress/Star Wars double feature on Sunday.
Ask them to bump up the drop rates for a weekend. Just to see what happens.
Wow, I should have hung onto all my cards from the Beta/3rd/Revised era. Had a ton of the dual lands (Taiga/Savannah/etc) that are still worth something today: http://sales.starcitygames.com/category.php?cat=1003&color=L
It's both funny and sad that Senator Lee is basically holding "The Godfather", "Unforgiven", and "The Seven Samurai" in his hands in that photo.
Hear, hear.
Thank you for this article. Just finished watching the first season with my fiancee and the show is hilarious. Considering the relatively good numbers it was pulling in even while airing out of order, it's really a shame. Great cast, sharp writing, nice combination of broad comedy and subtle character touches.
