Survivors who speak out tend to get blacklisted. So, help those the industry is trying to bury for the simple act of speaking out.

Establishing that Epic is sloppy. Epic’s pushing for the ability to sell on its own, to avoid apple’s costs. and/or to have a third party publishing on iOS devices.
Apple looks to me like it’s pushing the “we need to collect the apple tax and keep our walled garden so that we don’t have a poorly managed service like…
“Unprofitable” is a bit of a misnomer here. Consoles are usually sold as loss leaders so the company can make back their money in other system-related sales. The hardware functions well, and is capable of providing a good user experience. Stadia does not do that, and despite how much time they’ve had, doesn’t show…
More storefronts available on more platforms is good regardless of who’s arguing for it.
Surprised the article update wasn’t a cease and desist :)
It’s hard to tell whether you’ll enjoy a game, and for the most part, you can’t return them. That means that, at $50-60, games are a high dollar risk for an item whose value usually deprecates fast. Major game companies tacking on an extra 10 when they’re are already making serious bank when a game sells well seems…
Ana is a professional advertisement. Their job is to look sharp and eat noodles all day, to subconsciously convince people that sharp lookers eat noodles. Their stomach contains a reconstitution implant that reprocesses the noodles over and over again, dispensing the remade noodles into their pants
To be fair, neither is a popcorn sign that has “pcor” burned out.
Honestly, they’re both probably equidistant from actual porn, which is to say, they’re both designed with “the implication.”

This was my first thought when seeing this would be on PC.
It’s kind of an empty threat at this point. Utah’s law only mandates a filter be turned on by default, and doesn’t take effect until five other states introduce similar laws. So even if five other states do pass a law similar to this one, and somehow don’t get sued by the ACLU as a serious rights infringement, the…
A service provider curating what is delivered isn’t exactly “controlling what you can view.” We’re not a dystopia because the switch doesn’t have a web browser, Netflix isn’t controlling what you see because doesn’t have pornography in their collection.
Apple isn’t even stopping you from viewing this content on its…
Do they clarify if this is for all iOS users or just for iOS app users? Because it would be a really crappy move of them to block regular web access from iOS devices.
I wouldn’t exactly call “not allowing apps with pornographic content” dystopian. Apple has always had this policy on iOS apps, and has always leaned into a safer, easier experience on their terms. It’s certainly not for everyone, but it knows what it is and doesn’t try to hide it.
Well, less “murdered” and more “put both it and us out of its misery.” The internet is a much better place without it.
I think it depends on where you’re seeing it. When I saw it on my phone, the A was quite visible, but on the big screen, it’s a lot clearer it’s an FI

Because this was written as the ghostbuster’s theme, and Ray Parker Jr’s was just supposed to be an 80's pop tie-in. For perspective, think of “Back in Time” by Huey Lewis vs. the actual Back to the Future theme.
“I don’t understand why people are upset at exclusive games on the epic game store, it’s just an extra icon on the desktop.”
