Same here, though it’s a very slow start without much happening. I cut ahead to about the 42 minute mark and it’s much more interesting.

One might argue that even though Postal isn’t a good movie, it’s the best video game movie, as even though it’s not 1:1 with the series’ plot, it is easily the most faithful adaptation of a game’s spirit.

As in, if you were a major fan of the story and humor of Postal 2, you will love this movie.

I’m not sure what you’ve heard, but everything I’ve seen of this game is 5e through and through. Races, racial bonuses, sub-races, subclasses, backgrounds, proficiencies, spells, abilities etc are all from 5e, to the point where they included something bizarre like the Speak with the Dead spell.

I never got why some people have a problem with “game as service” models.

The worst part is, aside from the “randomly generated” part, everything else you have described arguably happens often in many video games -
Open world
Fight enemies, sometimes you win, lose, or they join you,
enemies get more powerful/more abilities as time passes
Enemies directly reference past encounters

Turns out it was just Carmen Sandiego’s giant fedora.

Exactly. This is what “focus group approved white woman soldier” looks like.
Dark, hair (looks serious)
Long Hair (not too butch)
Hair in Long braid/ponytail (Gotta keep it tight, this is war)
Pretty (No one wants an ugly hero)
Still wearing girly makeup (cause she’s a woman)
Dirty (It’s a war)
Tattoos (cause she’s badass)

“Star Wars is a space cartoon for kids and is supposed to be shitty” is probably my least favorite approach some fans take to warding off criticism.

It’s a magical space adventure based on schlock action serials featuring space wizards with laser swords!  “Exploitative abomination” is literally its modus operandi. It’s bonkers for bonkers sake. It has never viewed itself with the sanctity that fans bestow upon it. George Lucas made up the fact that Vader was

It’s like in Kill Bill Vol. 1, where they made a huge point of hiding the Bride’s name, like it was some kind of meaningful, plot relevant choice.

As a fellow Casual player who doesn’t like dungeons or raids, there’s still a fair bit to do in endgame, For me, it’s things like:

Low Level gearing - world quests for gear or soulbind abilities, upgrading gear you have the anima for. I’m just about ilvl 200, and every gear piece achieved is enjoyable
Pet Collecting -

D’oh!

Demon’s Souls is the best-looking PlayStation 5 game I’ve seen.

Why do I visualize this entire conversation with no eye contact from Miyazaki, who spent most of the interview walking away to the next piece of trash.

It’s a whole computer.

Right. It was the Stock Market, and in no way was it the fact that they were working extra hard to get it out by the intended release and telling them there was a delay would lead to them breathing a sigh of relief, and working less hard.

The core story is more or less in FFXV. Most of what’s missing, you don’t really need to play the game, but it is notably absent, and does really help to flesh out the story.

15 hours in, some guy shows up with no introduction and everyone talks like they know him well. Want to know his story? It’s available on the side of Mountain Dew Final Fuel!
